You can recover photos from camera after reformat with steps below

1. Remove memory card from camera and then connect it to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
2. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
3. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Do a google search for for sd card data recovery software. You should be able to find a free one (or buy one) that will recover the data for you. It is important that you do not write any data to the SD card in the mean time otherwise you will overwrite the lost data.

Hello, I did find some recovery programms. The trouble is they are all free, but if yu get to the end, all of them are charging you for that. Otherwise you are not comming through to the real recovery of the pictures. Could you please recommend one that is REALLY free, or if not, the one who does this for a reasonable price??

SD Card Problems with Vivitar Vivicam 5118!

What size is the memory card. If it's larger than 4GB then it won't work in the 5118.
Try using another card. Don't format it in your computer but do format it in the camera before trying to take pictures.

I have no volume on my vivicam 7025 video which i have recorded cannot play it back on lap top as there is no volume

The ViviCam 7025 does not record sound. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer, but you can't record one on the camera.

I know that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

I have a vivicam 7025, when i insert the SD card says card inserted but then says its going back to internal memory so i cant take no pictures

I also have a vivicam 7025, with the same problem, when I insert the SD card, first it recognises that a card has been inserted but then it says its going back to internal memory. I can't take any photo's and am VERY frustrated!!! Did you find out how to sort yours out?

How to get pictures back if you hit the format button

Unfortunately, once you format the disk, the pictures are gone. Formatting erases everything and gets the disk ready to receive more pictures. Sorry to have to relay the bad news.

How do I format an SD card for a Vivicam 3785?

You can format the SD card in your ViviCam 3785.

This utility formats the internal memory (or memory card) and erases all stored images and data. Make sure your SD card is in the unlocked position.
1. Press the button to turn on your ViviCam 3785.
2. Press the MODE button twice to enter Playback mode. Then press
the button to enter the Playback menu.
3. Select [Delete] by using the up/down arrow buttons, and press the OK button.
4. Select [Format ] by using the up/down arrow buttons, and press the OK button.
5. If you want to format your SD memory card or the internal memory choose
[OK] by pressing up/down arrow buttons, then press the OK button to confirm.
To cancel the action, select [Cancel] instead.
[No Image] pops up after the SD memory card or internal memory
has been formatted.
