You might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd drive restart your computer then plug them back in this should activate the found new hardware wizard or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device Click start control panel administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you will have options to update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer
Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.
hope this helps

Driver for LG 1511s monitor

The DVD player should automatically put the signal out on the component terminals, and probably also on composite and S-video. There may be selector buttons on the front of the player for that purpose. (I'm assuming this is a DVD player unit, not a program in a computer.) No driver should be needed; it's hard-wired.

The big problem is that the monitor has only a VGA connector for computers and cannot be connected to a common DVD player without a composite/component to VGA adapter (very hard to find). The surest way you can get a DVD signal to it is to play it in a computer with a DVD player program and DVD drive. No separate driver is needed; the DVD player program and the computer's graphics driver take care of it.

Hp vista and monitor hp2509 was working fine. i uninstalled monitor driver but now computer starts fine but monitor goes blank

Monitor drivers are built into windows OS, you can't uninstall the driver unless you went to devise MGR, monitor, and opened proprieties and hit uninstall, and even then when you restart windows, it will auto reinstall the hardware. So what you're saying does not make sense.

If you reboot and noting, try a system restore, if you have a windows disk, then run repair. But like I said, you don't install monitor drivers, DVD rom drivers, these are generic drivers that are made into windows. If you think a monitor has a driver that needs installing, explain how people install windows if they couldn't see the monitor.

Only onboard video and graph cards need drivers to run the video at its intended resolution, but it does not need a driver for the monitor, it's built into windows.

I have emachines el1360-ur30p running windows 7 and doesn't recognize cd/dvd

Hello,

Was it working fine before? If it does, then you would need to update the driver for your DVD.. Or you might have an outdated DVD driver. You can use RadarSync to update it.

I have a new pc and my monitor doesnt show pictures or anything there are vertical stripes on it. please help

Have you tried running through the setup menu on the monitor itself? If so and it didn't help, your computer probably doesn't have the driver for that particular monitor and you should get it for "that" monitor for "that" computer and "that" exact version of Windows (I'm assuming that's what your using). You should be able to open the "Set Up" before Windows opens and load the driver from a CD onto your computer. Reboot and "Plug & Play" should take over. Otherwise, the monitor may be bad, or incompatible with your system, it still happens.

Monitor says no signal and will not run a dvd

It could be a couple of things. If this monitor is hooked up to a computer, it could be a bad video card. A video card is easily fixed on a desktop, if you're using a laptop you're probably out of luck.

If it's hooked up to a DVD player, check that the cord to the monitor is hooked up properly (make sure the connection goes from the "Video Out" on the player to the "Video In" on the monitor and that all connections are tight, not barely hanging on). If that doesn't work, try a new cable.
This is probably insulting, but also make sure that the monitor is set to the right channel if it's multichannel. For example, if your DVD player is hooked up to HDMI 2, make sure the monitor is set to use HDMI 2 for signal.

If none of these work, it's time to find a tech-happy friend that can inspect everything visually. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure why you think you need drivers. Windows includes all of the drivers you normally need to run the display. If you are looking for different display settings, what you need is drivers for your video card--not the monitor.

Many wide lines on the screen

This could be several things. Most likely it's a problem with your video card driver. Without knowing the make/model of your video card, I can't suggest where to go to download a new driver, but (if you can still see on the monitor) you can do the following.
First, try running Windows Update to see if there's a driver already. Open Windows Update, then click on the "Custom" button to see all of the available updates. There should be a "Hardware" link on the left once it loads, and if you see a video card update there, download that. If that doesn't work, you can try the following to determine what type of card you have:
Right click on My Computer>Properties
Go to the hardware tab and open Device Manager.
Try to find your video card in there, if it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, you'll know there's a problem with it, but it might not have that. When you find it, right click and click on Properties. In one of the tabs you'll be able to find a Device ID. Type that into Google and it should let you know what type of card it is (it might require a little digging). Then visit the manufacturer's website to download a driver.

If updating the driver doesn't work, I would suspect a faulty video card. If you have another computer, try putting the card in there. If it's not a video card and it's coming straight out of the motherboard, you can probably pick up a video card for fairly cheap and run off of that.

I wouldn't think it's a monitor problem, but that could be an issue as well. Try the monitor on other computers/try another monitor on your computer to see if the problem still exists. If you can rule out the monitor, follow the steps above. If the problem still exists on the same monitor with a different computer, you'll probably need a new monitor.

When I got my LG Flatron e1941t the driver cd is curved so much it can't fit into a dvd drive now I can't install the driver.

Hi there, You don't really need to install the driver for this monitor. It is Plug and Play, meaning as soon as you hook it up to your computer it will start working! If you really do want to install the driver, here it is -> http://www.lg.com/au/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=E1941T-BN&initialTab=drivers&targetPage=support-product-profile just click the drivers and software tab and you'll see the download link. When installing drivers for the Intergrated PG191 Webcam, from Asus's Website.. I can't run the Setup.exe however, i run the 409.MSI and i install...Go to run the webcam program and it not responds...

Setup.exe has a nasty habit of setting up partial programs that create problems. When I have to down load drivers from the internet I go to the driver mfg. and download the free version from their site. All you will have to do is click and follow detailed instructions. First go into add/remove programs and remove all previous attempts to download the drivers. Even check your documents, sometimes a file will sneak in there. The computer is going to complain and tell you the world will come to an end if you delete then Hit delete, I haven't made it come to an end yet! It works for me and I work on all kinds of old and new monitors. Hope this is at least some help. dhgill1949
