How to fix horizontal lines across whole screen on my Philips TV model# 52PFL7403D/F7?

The standard way to find out whether the issues on a tv are hardware related or settings environment related is to perform a reset to factory default through the menus available from the remote controlIf the fault persists after a reset and rescan the fault is almost certainly hardware related and will need the attention of a competent technician

Need to find out a part # for my philips 52PFL7403/f7 for the ir sensor

Join Date: Nov 2011 I have a Philips 47PFL3603D/F7 with the same problem. It was the IR sensor board causing the problem. You can search online to find the board, which almost everyone will most likely not have in stock, and cant be ordered. The part you need is this: 313926859181 IR Remote Sensor.

Models it will fit are as follows: Substitute Parts 313926859182

If you can find the board, great! A replacement board costs about $12.00. If you can't... we'll there is something you can try ; )

Either way, if you know it's the board, what's the harm in trying?

Remove the back from the TV. You can actually leave it on your stand to do this if you can spin it around to gain access to the back of it. Be sure to unplug everything first!!!

Looking at the back of the tv, the board will be located in the lower left side by the speaker. It will have 2 cables attached to it. Remove them, and take out the screw or two that holds it in place. There will be a plastic tab that keeps it in place also.

Take your fingernail and bend the tab back, and the board should come free. After that you should be holding the board in your hands. The side of the board with the connectors on it is the side you want to manipulate. There will be a tiny surface mounted capacitor beside one of the wire connection sockets. Take a utility knife and scrape it off/ you could use a soldering iron but it should come off very easy with a knife.

Plug it back in, and give it a try! If it works... great! If not, find a replacement board, and try that.

Hope it helps someone!!!! quote.gif

My remote has stopped working. We have replaced the batteries with no luck because of this we cannot switch between sources My TV is a Philips 42" Model # 42PFL3603D/F7 Serial # VA180905005250

Hi:
The IR remote sensor in side of the television need replacing, this is the sensor that receives the commands from the remote and relays them to the microprocessor of the TV. Have the remote sensor replaced.

I have a 42" LCD

Some of these TV were equipped with very short connections from the infared board to the small signal board. Remove some of the shrink tubing from the wires of the IR cable to relieve stress on the individual wires. Trim the other end of the cable as well. We are talking about one half to three quarters of an inch.If this does not help you will need to order a new IR cable. Please show this info to an authorized Philips dealer and have them do this for you. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

52PFL7403D/F7 remote does not work with my TV

Hi
First thing to do is check your remotes by aiming them at a camera or the camera on your mobile phone then pressing any button you should see the led on the remote light up white, If this happens then your remotes are ok and you would then need to look further into the problem.
I would suggest the remote sensor in the tv being short or you may need a replacement AV board (the one that has the inputs and scart sockets are on )
Hope this info helps
