HOW TO REMOVE CIRCUIT BOARD FROM SHURE PGX2/SM58

First, unscrew the cartridge from the top. The round circuit board on top of the transmitter has a cutout on the switch side. Slide a screwdriver through that cutout and pop out the bezel the surrounds the switch. Remove the spring clip that is around the round circuit board and slide out the circuit board.

Sennheiser ew100 g2

You won't need a complete short to drain the battery much faster. Unless you can compare the figures to a known working one it's difficult for you to tell what is right and what is wrong.
Is this a handheld or a beltpack? Is it a genuine unit or a Chinese copy?
A set of GOOD batteries (Duracell, etc) should last between 6 and 8 hours minimum with these units.
If you have the tools you could take the unit apart and look for signs of failed components. A partial short circuit on a board due to moisture (from sweat or other liquids) can cause higher battery usage.
At the worst case, Sennheiser fixed price repair is around 60pounds exc vat.

My power switch on the handheld microphone is on red all of the time and the microphone is not working

Loosen the top assembly of the mic and see if problem is solved. If not , try to pull out the electronics board now connect the battery and activate the switch. If everything is alright your problem is caused by tight plastic enclosure which does'nt allow free movement of the on and off switch.

Connect the adapter to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

Scanner problem

A component in the frequency synthesizer circuit bit the dust. This is a common problem but may not be cost effective to repair. Radio Shack scanners are not well made & are susceptible to failure.

Oven shuts down

My mother-in-law's oven was doing the same thing. At first it was actually turning completely off which led me to think it was a loose connection on the circuit board. That turned out to be exactly what it was. I had to dismantle the front of the oven, remove the circuit board, and resolder the connections. The first time I did this I must have missed a few bad joints and that's when it started doing what you described (shuting off and showing lock door). I pulled it back apart and found a few more bad solder joints which I fixed; so far so good. This is of course one of those "don't try this at home" fixes but it least lets you know what is causing the problem.
