After a cycle is complete, the dishwasher beeps. I've yet to find a way to turn this sound off.

Won't stop beeping!!! Cannot turn off as it turns off the drying cycle.

  • Anonymous Dec 31, 2008

I am sitting up instead of going to bed so I can open up the dishwasher to stop the beeping after it is finished.  This is crazy.  But, if I do not it will wake up my guests.

  • Anonymous Jan 18, 2009

Yes, I have the same problem. I have had this DW 4 years now. When I first got it, I read the manual and I believe it shows you how to stop the beeping. But, this doesn't work. It has been beeping ever since.

Hold down the On/Off button and the Quick button at the same time while the dishwasher is off, wait a few seconds then hit the Quick button until the unit reads "00", then hit the On/Off button to save the new setting. Done.

Beeping sound when cycle is finished just started after 8 years. how do I turn it off?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think can answer your question..."beeping sound when cycle is finished just started after 8 years. how do I turn it off?"

Follow these steps...

**How to Operate the Cycle Completion Signal**

1. Open door, hold down program button (see
Beeper Table below) and simultaneously turn the unit "ON".

MODEL Program BUTTON

SHU 9950 Delay Start Hours
**SHU 9910-9920 Delicate/Econo** should be yours
SHU 8800/8810 Quick Wash

SHV 6800 Delay Start Hours
SHV 4800 Delicate/Econo
SHV 4300 Delicate/Econo

2. Release program button.
a. For SHV 6803 and SHU9950 models:
The display will blink with a code of "0", "1" or
"2". You are in program mode.

? If the display blinks with a "0", you will hear
no signal (indicates OFF).

? If the display blinks with a "1", you will hear a
LOW volume signal.

? If the display blinks with a "2", you will hear a
HIGHER volume signal.

b. For all other models with the beeper
function:

? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.

? When you push the button again and it does
not beep, it means that the Cycle Completion
Signal has been disabled.

3. To change the program, press the program
button until the desired setting is selected.

4. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of
program mode.

* At the end of a wash cycle, the beeper will sound
off two times, and again every 15 minutes until the
dishwasher is turned off.

Hope this answers your question and provides you with what you needed.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Please take a moment to rate the solution provided and a short testimony if you feel it's warranted, but also let me know if you require further assistance.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Dishwasher bosch beeping noise

Found this on the Bosch website..... see 2nd to last step
The Cycle Completion Signal
This Cycle Completion Signal is a tone that sounds to alert you when your dishwasher
finishes washing and drying your dishes. You can either disable the tone or set the volume.
To activate:
· P ress and hold the right “Cancel Drain” button then press and hold the On/Off button.
· When the light on the “Cancel Drain” button you are pressing illuminates and the tone
begins to sound, release both buttons.
· P ress the right-most “Cancel Drain” button until the tone is either at the desired volume
or is silent.
· P ress the On/Off Button. The Cycle Completion Signal is now set.
