Question about Vtech Mobigo Learning System

We have 2 VTech Mobigo's one was bought in December and the other in March. Both are having trouble with the cartridges, if you move the system the slightest while playing the game either freezes up or resets as if the cartridge isn't in all the way properly. We keep these games safe in their cases and haven't been damaged at all, some of the cartridges are brand new even and we are still having this problem. Whats going on?

This is definitely a software problem. I find it surprising that both are acting up. But based on some research that I've done, it doesn't seem to be an unlikely possibility. Many others are suffering from the same problem for this product. If you can, exchange both of them for new ones. Unfortunately, it seems to be a pretty inconsistent product. They should exchange it with no hassle, though, as I'm sure you will not be the first or last customers to experience this problem. Hope this helped

try this: take the cartridge from both compartments. take out the cartridge. press the on button for 30 seconds. place the batteries back into the toy. try turning it on.

You need to update the toy. Connect it to your Learning Lodge Navigator. You should be prompted for an update.

My mobigo is not recognizing cartridges . . . it acts like it is re-booting when I push the cartridge game option. The game works in the other mobigo we own. What now?

Called vtech today about mostly unused mobigo not identifying cartridges, they told me the toy is defective. It was a mobigo 1, which had a year warranty. We bought it too early for my son and it sat on a shelf for almost two years. We bought another from a craigslister whose son never used it only to find the same issue upon opening. Vtech suggested we purchase the Mobigo 2, but I am against doing so after finding out those only have a three month warranty. Quality control isssue?????

You need to connect the Mobigo to a computer with internet connection On. Use an USB cable, the Mobigo will download the reward. Alternatively contact the manufacturer:

I have a vtech mobiGo touch. I want to reset it. Start fresh. I just learned about the progress log an want to watch him grow an learn. An everyone in the house has played it so i cant tell what he has...

had the same prob with my son. the games are fun the wife and i couldn't help it.
1. take out the batteries then hold the "on" button for 45 sec replace batteries
2. go to your vtech mobigo acct edit your childs name to "family" or something
3. now add the child you wanted to "reset" now switch mobigo from "family" to new child
4. plug mobigo into pc and the progress log should be reset
thats what worked for me hope this helps

My daughter's mobigo turns on and then off. I've replaced the batteries, cartridge, but it still does that. I pressed the "on" button button for 45 secs. while the batteries were out but it still...

The only answer VTech offers is to contact customer service if you have tried the other trouble shooting methods. This is directly from their site:
"If your product still does not work properly, please contact our Consumer Services Department at 800.521.2010 in the U.S. and 877.352.8697 in Canada. They will be able to issue a return authorization and advise you of any replacement/repair fees. Please do not return any merchandise to us without a return authorization. Consumer Services hours in the U.S. are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Central Standard Time and in Canada, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Central Standard Time."

My band new Mobigo will not play any of the game cartridges purchased seperately. It will only play the demo cartridge that came with it. Help!

I have the same problem. Contacted the manufacturer and they said that all of the brand new game cartridges must be defective. I find that hard to believe that five brand new games are defective. Any solutions?
