If left overnight, will drain when next turned on, so is capable of draining. Just that when washing, it will not go to next part of cycle, that is "draining", and water keeps sloshing around the machine for ages. Thanks for any help.

Problem solved! Dishwasher was actually stuck on drain cycle and was just sloshing water around the machine. I was able to get it to drain by lowering water level by emptying most of water with a cup. I then disconnected drain hose under sink and blew through it - much gurgling etc of water in dishwasher, but after reconnecting the hose I pushed start button and machine drained straight away. Then called serviceman from phone book and he disconnected drain hose, made sure it wasn't blocked then reinstalled it WITHOUT the loop in the hose that was up and down the side of the machine. in other words the drain hose now goes straight out the back of the machine from the pump, direct to the kitchen sink drain. Guess what, it now works. Apparently the new pump didn't like the routing of the old hose. i also installed new pressure switch and had circuit board reconditioned, so everything is working well.

Motor keeps running. Water heats fine. Help

One of the reasons for motor not draining during normal cycle is the check valve is stuck. It is meant to return to normal during drain cycle but close during wash. I think the cancel is resetting it and letting water out.

Dishlex 500e water comes out the bottom when turn it on otherwise workes great what has happened

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occurs. Removing and Cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there is gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

The control panel has a large crack on it & needs to be replaced. Does the replacement part come with all the electrics & connections, please? Item description: Vulcan Dishlex 500E Electronic...

Hi just read your posting,I know these machines well. When you purchase the new panel you get the membrane or touch buttons and the rest of the components eg---control board, door handle--etc--- you must take off your old panel and refit them to the new panel. Before you attempt this job unplug the power point first. If you require additional help please reply and I can guide you throe the refitting of the panel.Looking forward to your reply.

Replace Control panel cover on dishlex dishwasher 500E

If your 500E is the same as my 500E then the controls are electronic touch buttons. The are part of a self adhesive strip and stuck to the front of the door. No screws involved. Only the LED lights are mounted on a circuit board with screws on the back of the plastic front panel. ?????

Looking for manual for Vulcan Dishlex 500e dishwasher

Probably fatigued wiring from the chassis to the door where it bends every time you open and close the door. On my 500E, I took the sheet metal door skin off and found a couple of burned spots on the wires inside a clear plastic strain relief.

My vulcan dishlex e500 is not pumping out water. Water is going in but then seems to overflow and leak out of machine. Cheers for any help.

Firstly correct model would help,500E is only the series; but from what you describe a number of faults could prevail: "1" the breather on the air dome could be blocked. "2" faulty pressure switch."3" faulty restrictor in p/switch tube:All these potential problems are not easily rectified by unskilled persons and you could make things a lot worse, which would be a shame as the 500E is an excellent machine(one of the best ever built) To rectify these problems is difficult enough even for a professional technician like myself. Regards.c.p.
