I have a GE #AEWO6LJG1 room airconditioner, serial # GL771249 that gets power when turned on, but immediately shuts itself off. What could be the problem?

hi
the sensing ( sensor ) within the unit is mostly clogged up with fluff as the fun intakes the cold air ( of the room ) and pushers the cooler air back into the room . the system have filters behind the flutes ( made of fibres you can blow them with air blower then can be re used ) it within this area where the sensor is located
Ours was leaking water. After taking the covers off, cleaning it,and draining all the water out, I started getting the same problem with the light coming on every 7 minutes. I actually added some water to the system till it was too full and then drained it out through the plug.
The light still came on every 7 minutes until I turned the unit off and then unplugged it for a few minutes. I plugged it back in, turned it on and reset the temperature. It seemed to reset itself and kept running normally.
