Code "CE" stands for communication error and describes a fault between the mother board and the display. I doubt it's the relay causing it though...

CE= Communication Error between Control Module
and Display Interface Assembly
1. Disconnect and then reconnect power to heater.
2. Check for faulty wiring or connection.

You didn't indicate your exact model. There are different versions of the H200 series. If it is milivolt then there is no electric, Must have correct milli-volt pilot generator. If it's electronic, check the air flow pressure switch on the combustion air.

Open up the control panel access door on the front. (the display). Remove the 2 screws at the top and tilt the assembly out. There should be a tab on the bottom that helps keep the assembly stable. Check all the connections on both boards for fit and broken wires. If all is ok, I would shut the supply power off, then back on and see if the data transfer works. If not, bad boards.

Testimonial: "Great advice. Working like a charm. No loose wiring. 2 large beetles between the circuit board and the display. Blew them out and it works great."
SOURCE: The code CE is showing
The CE code indicates a "Communication Error". This indicates there is a communication
issue between integrated control board (ICB) and the display board (DB). The DB is the one mounted on the backside of the keypad. The ICB is the one back in the heater behind the display board. The
two boards are joined by a ribbon cable that passes communication
between the two. I suggest you contact the Hayward technical support number and they may be able to help you with the next step. I hope this helps.

BD or BO? I am not aware of a BD error but BO means the heater is set to bypass operation which means it is set up to run with a remote. If you have a remote in the system it is failing; if not you need to reset the dip switch (#2) to the off position. For help with these steps please refer to the owner's manual here.
