The set may have locked up internally; if you can, pull the AC plug overnight or for at least an hour to allow the circuitry to power down. BTW, our original Ilo remote, RC-370C, failed due to a thermal problem (freeze spray would make it work for a few minutes) and had to be replaced for $45. If it has developed a real problem, it may be junk; service is essentially non-existent. Wal-mart can really pick 'em.

Fix blue screen av27870

Hi. Switch off (mains switch) the VCR. Then see if you can change channels with your TV remote. Blue screen mostly means that no channel has been programmed. If there is , you should at least have the sound. So, if you have sound, there is an internal problem in the TV. If no sound appears, try to get into setup mode (button Menu)
and programm your channels. I suppose there is signal on your normal areal connection. Check this out with another TV set, or use the tuner from you VRC. I know there are a lot of possibilities, but you can sort this out, step by step. Good luck.

Proscan 40lc45s won't stay on

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

Why is my TV screen PINK?

Have heard of this issue,in most cases while using HDMI cable.Try switching to component cable hookup.(Red/Blue/Green RCA type plugs). This will still give you Hi-Def.(don't forget to get a Red/White cord set for the audio also, unless you get a 5-way cord that does both).

Troubleshooting for maxent mx-42hpt51

hello!
Blue screen(bright blue) indicates an absence of signal. If you have "on screen" display characters: menu, channel ##, volume bar, etc, your set might be configured for digital antenna settings, or DTV, "air" mode. Then, you won't be able to get cable channels through. If your "blue screen" is dim and there is no any characters, then your Y-sustain module is bad. Especially, if you have encountered loud "pop" shortly before "blue screen" appeared. Then, it's a major repair with board(s?) replacement. If you can handle that, get back to me in a next session. I will guide yourself "how to".
Thanks,
Alex.

We have a Samsung Smart TV. We cannot get the signal and have installed a Digital Satellite Receiver. We have a Magnavox VCR and a sony DVD Player. We owuld like to attache the same to our TV and watch...

Hi there,

Depending on your Satellite receiver's output type (i.e. HDMI or Component - Red, Green, Blue) you should connect to your tv's appropriate external inputs. Example: if you choose to connect the receiver via HDMI, then you use the SOURCE button on your tv and select the correct HDMI input you have connected your device to. If connected by Component (Red, Green, Blue) then use the SOURCE button to select the correct Component input, and so on.

Note: HDMI is the best connection type - you won't be able to access your receiver from the tv's built in tuner.

As above explanation, your VCR and DVD devices should be connected to your tv in the same manner - unless it is a combo unit (VCR & DVD in one), in which case this device can be tuned into your chosen tv channel (via the tv's tuner).

Note: if you have one of the latest SMART tv's, it should already have a built-in "Hi Definition" tuner which will allow you to watch free digital tv broadcast (DVB).

Hope this helps...

Tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

When I switch the TV on I just get a message 'No Signal' ,this also happens when I try to play a DVD. The TV is on and I just get a blue blank screen. The other TVs in the house that are all...

You might be on the wrong "channel" on your TV. On the remote for your TV, there should be a set of buttons for if you want the remote to control the TV, or DVD player, or Aux 1 or 2. You want to click the TV button and try changing the TV's "channel". Your cable/DVD player are on different "channels" of the TV. Try scrolling up and down through the "channels" of your TV.

19 in blue screen only sound works great

blue screen is the noise mute screen. however the audio is not getting muted and hence the buzzing....meaning the tuner on the TV is not getting locked on to the station/frequency

1. check your antenna if you are using one. Autotune
OR
2. Reconnect coax from the cable box to Tv and autotune.
OR
3.Use the Video out from the cable box and connect it to one of the video inputs on the TV. Switch your Tv to that component. Use the cable box to change channels (Best case scenerio)
