Question about Sewing Machines

Open Question

Babylock Imagine Serger. The air jet lever comes unattached inside and prevents threading until it's is repaired. I run an alterations business in a small town and have to drive 40 miles one way for repair. Since this happens with some frequency (twice a year or so), can't someone tell me how to re-attach the lever myself? I know nothing is actually "broken", as when I've taken it for repairs before, they say all they have to do is attach the part that came undone.

There is a plate on the machine:
- If it says 220 volts, there is nothing that can be done, it cannot be used here.  You should have supported an American dealer because you are totally hooped.

- If it says 110 to 120 volts, it should be working with your new plug.  but since it is not working, you will have to bring it to a service shop.

SOURCE: unable to thread lower looper on Babylock Eclipse BLE1SX

On rare occasions lint can clog the yubes on these sergers. One of the first things I do is thread the wire through in the opposite direction. It will sometimes push the blockage out. The other option is to use an air compressor and again blow the lint out from the opposite side. If this does not work take it to a service man.

No, Sounds like the loopers are not passing properly to pick up the thread, from off the needles.

My Imagine Serger's threading ports are blowing out air when I press the lever, not sucking the thread back in.

Hello Wardmel
Make sure that the serger is set up for threading, now check that the air tubes are not plugged. You should have a long spun wire to clear the air paths.

Jet air not working on the evolution serger by babyloc can anyone

HI
Have you tried to use the wire to pull some floss type thread through the loopers ( I often use a cleaning fluid on the floss thread to clean out the inside the looper tubes.
If this fails to help, likely a professional change of the loopers should be considered

Don't know how to thread the juki mo-735 serger

This video starts off a little ****, but expected if you have ever visited the Threadbanger site - http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1462325/how_to_use_a_serger_indie_pendent_designer_spotlight_thread_he/ Not your brand, but the same "serger basics". Lift the antenna to it's highest position. Set the tensions to zero. Have the presser foot up when threading. Raise the upper looper to it's highest position. Sergers are great little machines, but they can be nerve racking when it comes to threading. After years of threatening my old FunLock, I bought a Babylock Imagine with air-jet threading - what a relief!

How do i replace a bulb in the imagine babylock

Unplug the machine.

Open the front cover and cutting blade cover.

Remove the light bulb and replace with same (15w/120v) screw-in type or if the machine uses the bayonet type (no screw threads) 10w/240v.

There is a bulb remover that you can purchase/order from a BabyLock dealer.

If you cannot get the bulb out, call a dealer and ask if someone there can help you and when could you come in and not have to leave the serger.
