Ice won't continue to drop from the dispenser

I can get some ice from the dispenser but then it will quit. I have read the instructions in the instructions that came with the refrigerator but it did not help. I was told to pull it away from the wall and clean out the water hose and the filter and several other things to see if it would work. Can you tell me what might be the problem. It will make crushed ice. Thanks Peg
