Question about Lexmark Pro901 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

1 Answer

Can I change the printer border on my Lexmark Pro901? In adobe when I go to print I find the actual page size is not the same size as the measured page size. The white area is smaller than the other printer I have. When I print, the bottom is cut off. I also do not want to fit to printer margins as it shrinks the page.

Make sure the correct paper size is set in the print settings on your computer. Click the Properties button on any Windows print dialog. On Mac you can select paper size in the Print Settings pane in any expanded print dialog.

I have this issue and this is the #1 thing I hate about this printer. You actually have to do the opposite of what PrintmasterT is saying: You need to purposely tell the printer to use the wrong paper. Basically, trick the printer - set your printer paper size to legal, and also set the document size to legal. You can then print all the way to the bottom of the page without the 1/2 inch print margin.

Printer will print one print job than won't print anymore

Just found this via a call to the Lexmark support line. Go to support, type SO7483 in the search box. It'll bring up a 4 page doc that actually fixed my problem with my Pro901. Even got Google Cloud Print to work. The robo-message said that a recent update to Windows 7 screwed them up and "they're working with Microsoft" to remedy it. Anyway, it worked for me. Hope it does for you too.

Document size and page size when printing

Its not a setting for page size, that must always be set to the paper size. The best way is to remove the margins in the document by editing it in a PDF editor. Alternatives are a bit of a bodge. When you print try changing the size to 115% of original.

Lexmark Pro901 When scanning from document feed the machine seems to scan only a part of the page whilst cutting out the information at the bottom of the page.

Make sure to set the correct paper size when scanning from the ADF. If you're scanning a legal size document, set the paper size to legal.

If it doesn't work, try to reset the printer back to its factory settings:

1 From the home screen, touch Setup (wrench icon), and then touch Use Factory Defaults.
2 Touch Yes.
3 When prompted to set the initial settings of your printer, make your selections using the touch screen.

I have two computers on my network, an iMac and a PC running Windoew 7. I recently purchased the Lexmark Pro901 and installed it on the network. It(the Lexmark Pro901) seems to connect fine to the network...

It could be a software issue. Try to uninstall the existing Lexmark Pro901 driver from your desktop pc by going to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark -> Pro900 Series -> Uninstall Lexmark Pro900 Series. Reboot pc when prompted.
Now, check your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to the Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
To reinstall, download the Lexmark Pro900 Series driver using the links below: - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 32-bit - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 64-bit
Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.
