SOURCE: turn on

Three thoughts---check for short to ground with fuse removed and power off (unplugged) on both sides of fuse.

Use a original type fuse---generic ones often blow for no reason.

Consider replacing the board if you can confirm issue is on it.

Hi. My uhf band cp 200 won't power up because it was placed in a charger .Please tell me what protection diodes I need to replace, and it's proximal location. Thank You.

Chargers have higher voltage ratings than the one it charges. It also lacks the needed filters to supply the exact direct current which damaged your equipment but first check if it blows up your fuses when you connect the power supply. If it does check for Zener Diodes usually connected to the mains of the equipment to simulate the simple crowbar effect of protection. If it does not blow up your main fuse then the fuse might be in the circuit board of your base unit. Zener Diodes are cased in striped crystal that short circuits itself when applied with reverse or higher voltage rating power supplies. You will need a multimeter positioned at continuity to test this. Remove it and replace the fuse then apply power, it will light up but remember to replace the damaged part for protection.

Samsung fp-t5084 fuse fix is the replacement fuse slow burn or fast burn?

I'm certain it uses a T12amp slow blow type. I have the exact same model, you can replace the fuse. The TV will for a while, but that fuse will blow again. You will need to replace the power supply board for a more permanent fix.

My fuse blew in my Samsung 53" Plasma TV. I changed it, but it's blown again? What should I do next?

The fuse blown because theres a short circuit connection in the PCB power supply of your television. Please check the power supply inside, remove the back cover to see the power supply section.unplug first to avoid electric shock. Will you check the bridge type diode first. If the bridge type diode or diodes is shorted the fuse is always blown.Using digital tester check diodes, regulator transistor, and other transistor around the power supply.

After I put a fuse in the player, and plug into wall, the fuse immediately blows.

Hi,
Your fuse blown again because you have a short on the circuit. You may visit my link http://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowing for more info.
I've suspect that you have short on rectifier diode/main filter capacitor/regulator IC/transistor. This is quite fixable.
Hope it may help you.
Thanks for using fixya.

B;owing fuses, wont power up, just smokes

Hi,

Try checking the reverse protection diode. This diode would normally be connected right after the power connector and would be the biggest diode inside. One way to verify if this is defective and causing the fuse to blow is even with the power switch at the OFF position, the fuse will still blow.

If on the other hand, the reverse protection diode is good and fuse will not blow when power switch is at OFF, then the short/defective component is inside. There would only be two (2) major components that can cause the fuse to blow with the power switch to ON, the final transistor and/or the audio IC.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Good day.
With regards to your problem, try to isolate the issue first. the fuse blows? this means that something is shorted in the power supply circuitry. Could be the regulator IC, diodes or capacitors.
You can likewise download the diagram you need through the links posted on fixYa.com
For further assistance, please post the result of your findings.
