Question about Singer CE-200 Quantum Futura Computerized Sewing Machine
I downloaded the software and at first it kept telling me that it couldnt install the CLEM driver. I downloaded the patch & i'm not sure yet if that has worked or not (although im pretty sure it did) because now all of a sudden when i click the program, it tells me that my machine is not connected to my computer via USB/machine not turned on. when it is-i know it shouldnt be a problem with the USB cable itself because when i unplug either end of the cable-PC flashes on the screen of the embroidery machine. Please-any help???
This problem is with VISTA 64 bit. You need to load Vista 32 bit on your laptop. There are no 64bit drivers for the Futura CE 250. You will probably find this problem with other software too that doesn't specifically support 64 bit OS.

I had this problem. There is a patch that needs to be applied. I called singer and after an hour wait, a rep helped me to download it and install it. problem was fixed. I now have a new laptop and guess what!! This am I started the futura up, went through the first step on my large hoop. Looked over at my laptop and the icon was gone. I tried to reopen it. Nothing. I restarted my computer....now I am getting the same thing all over again and it is a Saturday and I highly doubt if singer is open today. I would NOT buy this machine ever again!!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you need to visit the Singer website and download a manual.
Here is the link to the search page:
In the search field type "250" and click "Search" then wait for the page to build. You'll see your model there, and there will be a "Free download" box appear after a few seconds. Click this and wait a few seconds again for the file to download - it is 5MB so large.
once its displaying as a pdf file on your screen you can click the logo like a clipboard to save the file a location on your PC. If you have a printer you can print it out for future reference; maybe put into a clear page display book.

When I looked at Futura's website yesterday getting information on installing this software on a Vista system, there are a number of things that you have to do, not just download and install the Vista patch. After you install the Vista patch, instructions are given on how to set the program to run in WIN XP mode and then you have to install the XP patch. Check the website for the specific instructions. Now if I could just find a copy of the base software to install (my mother-in-laws computer crashed and no one can find the install CD -- we found the other one and the DVD video disk but not the install). Singer wants to sell me the program again for $269.
