The guts are all the same. Look at this one. You can flip things over and make it fit presta, too.

How to test to make sure fuel pump is getting power

You could check for fuel pressure at the injection rail assembly, especially if there is a Schrader valve on the rail. The Schrader valve looks like an air valve and operates the same way. Push in on the valve stem to see if fuel comes out under pressure. Have rags around the valve to catch the gas. Best is to attach a pressure gauge to the valve, and then you can read the pressure. Possibly Auto Zone or Advance will the gauge as a loaner. This will comfirm the fuel pump is working and providing the correct pressure.

How do you check to see if your fuel pump is working

If it wasn't working the vehicle wouldn't start

If you have someone turn the key on & off,
you can listen for the fuel pump, by getting up close
to the tank or put a long tool to it and & your ear

You can also put a fuel pressure gauge on the motor
fuel rail schrader valve & check pressure

It can be tested for pressure, volumn, current, etc

I purchased a Schwinn bicycle pump, but I'm having trouble determining how to use it to inflate my standard bike tires. The instructions that came with the pump assume that I know the name of the type...

There are only two types - presta and schrader. If the instructions named them you could just Google them for descriptions and all kinds of other answers. The schrader is what we think of as the automotive style.

Back to the search engines, "how to..." usually finds answers, such as "how to inflate a presta valve tube".

Which side do I use for a presta valve? How do I close it; yellow lever at a right angle or parallel?

The Side for a presta valve doesn't have what appears to be a pin inside. The schrader side has the pin. Just try putting it on a valve and pumping. If there isn't an air tight fit it means you need to move the leaver to the other position.

Nothing is wrong, it's just a different kind of valve called a presta valve instead of the more common schrader valve. Just stop by the bike shop and ask them to pump it up for you or if you want, to adapt the rim to fit a schrader valve. If you do that have them put in the new inner tube.

How do you use it? there's no pin or anything. Am

If by no pin on the inside and it won't work with the short stubby valve that just means it's ment for a presta valve. Return the pump and get one that works with a schrader valve.

Flip the lever on the valve end out (perpendicular) and secure the pump onto the tire valve, making sure it goes all the way in, then flip the lever down flat agains the pump. This should secure it so if you pull on it, the pump doesn't go anywhere and no air comes out. It looks like the handle flips out to make it easier to pump. Now pump up the tire until it starts looking full and check the pressure. A pressure guage is recommended. Lift the lever again to release (you may have to tap it off of the tire valve) when you're done.
Make sure you have the correct pump for the valve. There are two types of valve: presta, which is long and skinny, mostly used on higher end road bikes, and schrader (which you probably have) is the common type you'll see on a wide range of bikes. Your pump should fit a schrader.

Download this from Blackburn. It will give you an idea how it all fits together even if it's not a Blackburn pump.

Not all pumps come ready for schrader. Maybe you have to reverse the head parts.

Schwinn mini pump for schrader and presto bike valves. cant get it to work. its only lettign the air out of the bike tire not into it. it has a diagram and 3 different parts but we dont know how to put...

Look at this so you have a handle on what the shrader valve looks like.

Put the parts together as follows: insert the hard plastic piece so it protrudes to depress the center valve in the tube; place the round rubber piece over the frist piece wih the large opening facing outward toward the tube; snugly screw on the cap to compress the first two pieces.

Its probably the fact that there are two separate holes for presta anad schrader, if so put your finger over the one you want to use and give small pump to vent it then attach, if not then you have to screw off the cover and invert the inner rubber core for presta or schrader, can you give me more details or pic...
