You might have put in the wrong password or user id check to make sure you have put these in correctly first make sure the caps lock is on/off what ever applies to your user and password id that you provided to your ISP
also
you might have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled
make sure your modem/routers settings are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down network adapters + expand Ethernet driver you might see a yellow question mark? This means you need to update the driver right click you will have options to update driver disable uninstall or select properties general you will have the options to troubleshoot or to update driver rollback or uninstall
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver right click to install driver
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online
now for the sound
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem
have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
make sure you have an earth ******** before touching any parts inside your computer
hope this helps

The sound is choppy but only while chatting.Playing video in the system doesnt have problem.

It sounds like the problem may be in the latency or speed of your internet connection. I am assuming that you are using a program like skype to do VoIP operations, which send data packets with sound information in them over the internet. A slow connection will make it so that some of the packets don't arrive in time to play the sound smoothly.

Playing video is probably different because the problem is not one with your computer, but your internet connection. Even if the video is coming off the internet, because the video doesn't have to be real time, a less reliable internet connection is fine, because your computer can make a buffer of the information, which doesn't work for Chat applications, since they must be real-time.

If you are more specific about what you are doing, I can perhaps give a more detailed solution.

My kaspersky pure always corrupted my internet connection and slow down my pc

Hi,
I am a computer technician and I speacialise in operating systems and software issues, hence I would really not like to sound prejudiced, it would be unprofessional for me to do so.
However, out of the people that I have supported and are having kaspersky as their antivirus, 90% do have internet connectivity and network connectivity issues on a regular basis. Even when the internet connectivity issue is resolved, it would re-occur again in a matter of days. I just suggest them to switch over to Norton or McAfee, and after that they do not face any internet connectivity issue, atleast not due to the antivirus blocking the internet connectivity. I am sorry, if I sound biased, however, this is what I would suggest.

I have the HERMO packard bell model. I can hardly access internet and the sound is not heard. Please hhelp

For internet
Resolution:
First check ipaddress
Click Start -run- type cmd hit enter for XP or Start -search-type cmd hit enter in Vista. On the DOS black screen after the blinking cursor type ipconfig hit enter check the ipaddress if are getting ipaddress other than (169........) it is proper ipaddress for e.g 147.14.48.478
Ping the default gateway e.g ping 147.11.445.478 if you are able to get packets send 4 received 4 loss zero is with Internet explorer or operating system.
If unable to ping or getting 169..... ipaddress . you are having static ip address
On the black screen at the blinking cursor type ipconfig /release hit enter
then type ipconfig /renew hit enter .check ip address
Ping default gateway then ping www.google.com if you are able to get packets send 4 received 4 loss 0. Try connect to internet using internet explorer or other browser. if still unable to connect then issue with firewall or antivirus or IE corruption .
Create new administrative account in XP and do MSconfig .Restart the system and logon to new account and try connecting to internet.
If issue persist might have to repair IE or operating system as it is software issue or virus issue.
You can connect a different computer if you have one and check internet.
If unable to get any ipaddress or still getting static ip address ,reset modem or check ethernet cable ,do a hard reset on the internet modem.Shutdown and restart computer and check ipaddress then try connecting to internet.

NO sound : Check the sound driver .Try reinstalling sound drivers

You may hear drop outs or poor sound quality in this call. Your Internet connection currently has reliability problems, perhaps due to a weak WiFi signal
