Vista can't detect my hard drive

Is it a new hard drive? if so many harddrives come blank and you will have to format it before any computer will recognize it. It is probably just unallocated.

Hi there
i would go to device manager and see if there is any problems with it there and then i would uninstall it while still in device manager (dont worry you wont lose it for good ) than restart the computer and once the computer is fully running the found new hardware manager will show up on the taskbar and reinstall the drivers for you and it will tell you that your device is installed and is ready to be used please try this ok and let me know how this goes for you
