Hi jhannah3,

what's the brand and model of your scanner or all in one printer?

Scanner and Multi function printers also called all in one printers comes with their own scanning software that you can install into the computer, even windows now has its own built in scanning program that you can use, generally, you just have to put the document or picture that you want to scan on the glass plate and press the scan option on the program that you are using although different brands have different implementations as well, if you want live assistance, try calling this number 1-877-787-8749, I forgot their name but they could walk you through the steps that you need to do.

Cheers,

Hello, I am having a problem with a newly bought HP deskjet 2050 all in one; when scanning some of the documents end up with ~1inch cut off even though they are standard letter size. Any suggestions?

Make sure you are placing the page in the scanner properly, most will indicate what corner/edge the scanner begins scanning from, you may also try checking the settings for the scanning software to make sure its set to letter, or try setting it to legal if its already set to letter.

Could you help me to operate the scanner., so that I can send docs,

make sure your scanner is working properly and the software has been already installed to the server or computer to access the scanner. this steps can help you to operate the scanner.1. connect the scanner to your PC, mostly scanner now is using USB cable 2. and then turn ON your scanner, place your material to be scanned like you were using photo copier 3.press the scan button to acquire the image 4. then preview the scan, the scanner software should display a preview on your computer screen 5. and now select the scan area in the scanner software 6.next set other options for example set the the color or the resolution of the document 7. then scan the image and save it into your disk make as your new folder. after you save you can now send this document.

How do I scan a document please?!

Hello,
you can a document using a scanner.
1. you have to find a SCANNER machine that is responsible in scanning the files you want to scan.
2. Then after you find a scanner, next thing to do is to place the document file in the scanner and make sure that your scanner is properly connected and turn on.
3. Click and run the software that is bundled with the scanner to scan the document and then you have to set the path where your scanned file is to be place.
4. Then after the scanning process finished then click the save button to save the scanned files.

Thanks

Scanner error on PC says "cannot properly communicate with scanner. Make sure the scanner is on, properly connected and properly set up to scan." the test scan works and i can see the image. the printer...

Try and open MS Word and import a picture into a document via scan, follow the prompts in Word and it should work fine. If you don,t have MS Word you can download a completely compatible application at Open Office.org. It also has the same functionality is free and allows you to save documents as .doc, .xls, etc. Sometimes a scanner requires additional software or drivers in addition to functioning as a printer. I have found scanning internal to an application a workaround or test for the scanner. If this works I would review the installation or contact the manufacturer or website. Or post and we can give it another try.

Epson cs5500 scanner software wont work

try downloading the latest drivers from epsons website. if coping is working and printing is working, it sounds like a software problem. Its possible there is a bug in the scanner part of the drivers.

Brother Scanner, scans the page but prints black and vertical

I called technical support for this issue previously with my brother mfc. It would only do this during color scanning. b&w scanning was just fine. The tech support put me through resetting the reference point of the scanner through a series of button pressing and closing and opening the paper feeder. I kept gettting the same lousy results. Then they determined that the scanner module needs replacing and I needed to take to the nearest service center.

Trial scan was probably enabled in simulation mode. This allows 500 free scans to be done but needs no product key. This is turned on in sim 26
