Question about Casio fx-300ES Calculator

Sorry, but you cannot.

You
can type in a formula that involves the memory variables X,Y, A, B,C,D,
E, =, . Such a formula is meant to be evaluated to get a solution (X
by default). Once you type the formula you press the Shifted function
SOLVE and you will be prompted for the constants, for Y etc. when you
press the EXE/= key you get the value of X.

If you turn off the calculator or change the calculation MODE, it is wiped out of memory.

To
make a long story short, you cannot STORE formulas in the calculator.
Better try to memorize them (commit then to YOUR OWN memory).

Let's do the preocess so it will work on any calculator.

As an example, convert 68 from decimal to binary.

The decimal columns are 10^0, 10^1, 10^2, 10^3, etc.

The binary columns are 2^0, 2^1, 2^2, 2^3, etc.

Flipping to the normal left to right, we get 2^6, 2^5, 2^4, 2^3, 2^2, 2^1, 2^0.

64 32 16 8 4 2 1

We divide our number, 68, by 64, and get 1 with a remainder of 4. We next divide our remainder by 32, 16, 8, and finally 4, where we get 1 with no reminder.

In binary, this works out to 1000100. To check, we multiply the ones by the respective column values and get 64 + 4 = 68.

Sorry, the fx-570ES Plus does not have the ability to insert thousands separators into numbers.

If you have the so-called **xRoot key** you procede as follows; 10[xRoot] 1.797

If you do not have an xRoot key you use the equivalence** nth root of x= x to the power of 1/n**

In the case of the 10th root you type (**1.797)^(1/10)** or **(1.797)^(0.1).** Here the **[^] caret** is the **general power key**. On some calculators it is marked as [**X^y] or [Y^x]**
