All televisions receive a 60hz signal. Your TV converts it to 120 automatically.

Why doesn't replacement remote work?

If you are trying to use a universal remote, the problem may be that all universal remotes do not contain all possible codes. You may have to try a different universal remote that will manage all functions of your Westinghouse TV. You also can search online for any of several OEM replacement remote suppliers to perhaps get the Westinghouse remote.

How do i get my tv to 120 Hz from 60 Hz?

Good day,

The 60/120 hz rating refers to the refresh rate that the panel runs at. I do not believe there is any user control over this rate. The TV runs at 120hz or 60hz as manufactured.
The higher rate (120Hz) is more desireable.

Good luck...
