SOURCE: inside subwoofer

ok, i had the same problem. i dont think the stinken back comes off. i was however able to loosen the control panel enough that the cardboard tube ( the rattler ) was wedged up against the back. i put all of the screws back on and presto, no rattle.

Logitech s125i

Hi. I just pulled mine apart for the same reason - I did it the hardway - hopefully I can reinstall all the parts into my silver 80's ghetto blaster I picked up the other day for $8....
Anyway the easy way is with a knife or something pop out the metal gauze over the speakers - there are 2 sets of four screws (four left, four right) these hold the two halves of the casing together.
before you crack it open make sure you get the six screws in the battery compartment as well.
The fault in my dock is from the power adapter being wiggled and causing the black wire to fracture away from the circuit board - simple fix but now my case is a wreck, which is ok cause I'd written it off as a loss anyway... now i have a project to practise soldering on : )
Hope this helps

My small son throwed so many small toys inside subwoofer. How can I open and get rid of them? Philips subwoofer.

he must have done it through the port in the front of the subwoofer.
If you look in the back of the sub woofer you will notice a metal back plate with all the sockets and controls on it. You will notic a lot of screws on it, now remember only to remove all the screws close to the edge of the metal plate ( do not remove any of the screws in the middle portion ) about 8 to 12 screws. After removing the screws pull out the metal plate gently. There will be some cables attached to the plate , do not attempt to remove this !!. Shine a torch into the box and see if you can retrieve the toys from the gap you have created by parting the back plate.
After having removed the toys place the plate back carefully making suree no wire is trapped between the box and the plate. Put two screws on the opposite ends and then lift the subwoofer and shake it to confirm if any more toys are in before you put back all the other screws.

Logitech THX Z-2300 only one speaker works. theres something wrong with the input. both speakers work fine but the 1 of the inputs on the subwoofer stopped working, causing only one speaker 2 work

try tapping the speaker box in your palm while the speaker is connected. There might be a bad contact of the wires inside. I had to open up my speaker to find that out. i moved around the wires connected to the cone of the speaker and then started to hear music once i did that. it was the left speaker by the way.

How much air space do boss blade 15 need

Subwoofers differ in only one way. You get an "Open Air" and a "Closed air" subwoofer, That being said, you'll have to check on your magnet which one you have to make the boxes for that sub. If it is an "Open air" Subwoofer, you should see a "wire mesh" or "grid" in the centre, at the back of the magnet. If it is a "Closed air", the magnet will be solid with no hole whatsoever.

If it is a "Open air" sub, your boxes should be sealed with silicone, and no ports are to be cut in your box.

With "Closed air" subs, you should have 2 ports below your sub and the port sizes should be around 50mm in diameter. You should start with a 100mm long piece in the one box and add 50mm increments to "tune" the port up to 250mm, depending on the frequency of bass you require.

On a 15 inch subwoofer ranging between 80Hz and 120Hz, the box size required should be around 27 liters, meaning that you will end up with a box of 16 inches high, x 16 inches wide, x 16 inches deep. Or 320mm high, x 320mm wide, x 320mm deep.

I hear some noise coming out from the woofer of CHT-12R

It very well could be the spaker leads hitting the speaker cone.

You could check this by removing the amp section from the back.
Remove the screws at the very edge of the amp panel.

Need to open my logitech z 2300

On the back of the subwoofer remove all outside screws running the parameter of the metal back. You should do this with the speaker pointing down so the screws face upward. Once you've removed all the outside screws lay the speaker back in it's normal position and grap hold of the heatsink fins and give a slight twist to it to break the seal. That will loosen it from the back, and you can pull it out about 3 inches. Note: wires are still attached but that should give you enough access to get inside.

How to disassemble Logitech Z-340 sub-woofer

The speaker bezel can be removed in only two ways:

1) Somehow remove the grille in order to get a the screws which hold the bezel onto the cabinet. I tried to do this and couldn't get it to budge. Once I got the thing open I observed that Logitech used a LOT of glue to hold this thing together.

2) Drill holes THROUGH the grill above each of the 8 screws large enough so you can loosen the screws.

Once you get it open, you'll be shocked to discover what you thought was the subwoofer cone is actually A ROUND PIECE OF CARDBOARD fastened to the foam. The 4" driver is behind this fastened to a board halfway back pointing into the chamber containing the electronics.

You can get to the power transformer, but good luck removing it. The screws are nearly impossible to unfasten; more glue but more importantly incredibly awful access to the nut and screw (yes, a screw, not a bolt).

I wouldn't pay 5 bucks for this system. Luckily, I didn't.

Inside subwoofer

Most likely the whole thing is glued together. You'll probably have to use force to get it apart, and it probably won't look as good when you put it back together.

Control and amplification circuit boards are not recieving power

If there are no visable ways to get into the box from the back then you must remove the speaker from the from and gain access through the hole the speaker came out of. It is not too uncommon for speaker units to built this way. Good luck.
