I have done that before asking for help. there are four screws, when they are removed the only thing that happens is the part that can raise just flops. the back on both that part and the larger part is secured. Is it supposed to just open once the screws are removed, or does one need to yank, fear of breaking, on the back to release it. There is something holding it tight. Carol Little

And in what part is the battery located, the main part or the flip part? Carol Little

I had already tried removing the screws from the back of the calculator before I contracted you. That does not release the back. I have not heard back from my expert even though I have asked for additional help. Please help

There should be a battery cover on the back that either is a rectangular piece of plastic that will wither slide of or unsnap. The other possibility is that the battery cover is round piece (plastic or metal) of with a **** in the middle that unscrews using a standard flathead screwdriver. Calculators typically use watch batteries and you can find them at jewelry stores or department stores.

Hi,

Turn the calculator backward, you will see screws holding the back cover tightly, use a small Philips screwdriver to remove the screw holding the back cover in place. once all the screws are removed, you will full access to the battery, carefully remove the battery and replace it with a new one, screw back all the screws with the Philips screwdriver, after this, you are done.

How to change the tax rate of a ibico124s

Hi, To change the tax rate, first press AC. Then press SET % for 2 seconds. Next, press TAX+, then enter the new or current tax rate. Enter the rate for a single digit tax rate such as 5% as 5, a single number; if you have a fractional percentage rate, such as 5.75%, enter it just that way: the 5, then a decimal and followed by 7& 5. Then press SET % again and you're done! I just did it on two of the calculators and it works. Hope this helps!

Ibico 080s

ACCO Brands Corporation owns General Binding Corporation (GBC). GBC offers products under numerous brands, including Ibico. Ibico's owner's address appears to be in Switzerland

From GBC's sparse Ibico's homepage:
"Contact Us

Where can you buy Ibico Products, fill in your information and the products that you are interested in and we will send you information on the nearest Ibico dealer. "

I'd suggest just going to that page (link here) and filling out the contact info and including the specific information about the model found on this page (namely the product ID num)

.... i could be way off... but it is all i could find on google =)
