Most probable cause is that your Wireless adapter is disabled!!!
Navigate to your wireless network card properties and be sure it is enabled.(Win 7)
Start-> Control Panel-> Network and Internet (or network and sharing)-> Network Options > Manage Network Connections
Then select your wireless NIC and right click on it, then make sure it is enabled.
