When you say has come adrift, i can only think that the hose has perished and broken away from the top half of the pipe, and is now just floating around in the tank, this will now require a new hose from tank to carb.

How do I fix a McCulloch CS38EM chain oil system - the plastic tube with filter on one end in the oil reservoir is adrift.

well your right the tube is supposed to be conned on one end to the pump , its at the far end of the tank , there should be a small barb down there to connect it to , I use a small piece of stiff wire to guide it to the pump , and a simple press and on it pops , of course you have to temp remove the filter off the end to do this , but that's easy to pop back on from the mouth of the oil tank once you got it back on, as for the oil in the case , I think if u read the operators manual , it clearly says to remove all fluids before storing saw , this means to remove all gas and oil from both tanks , I use old jelly jars for this , there perfect size to hold whats in tanks , leaving the gas in the saw is sure gonna give you troubles in starting it next time as well

Install fuel lines McCulloch 1838av chainsaw

to replace the fuel line you need to remove the cover over the carb and the fuel cap. (empty all fuel from tank) then use a small gauge wire to fish out the end with the filter in the tank. attach a small piece of small gauge wire to the fuel line. then remove the old line from the carb and pull the old line back from the tank. to anstall the new just reverse the operation.

PowerMac by McCulloch PM425AV-18 38cc. I have replaced the line from the fuel mixture tank to the primer bulb & replaced the primer bulb. Now the chainsaw won't keep or looses the prime. Now...

Are you sure you have conected the pipes the correct way round, the fuel hose from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the main fuel inlet on the carb, nearest to the alloy pump cover, the other conection off the carb goes to the shorter conection on the back of the primer, the longer pipe on the primer goes back to the tank, just remember the primer pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb, and back to the tank.

Where does the fuel line from tank with filter fit on walbro carb.also where does the primer line go?

The fuel line from the tank fits to the main fuel inlet on the carb ( the inlet nearest to the alloy pump cover secured by a single screw), the other conection on the carb has a pipe that conects to the shortest conection on the back of the primer ( suction side ) a pipe then goes from the longer conection on the primer ( pressure side ) back to the tank, it just pushes into the top of the tank.
So to recap the primer pulls fuel from the carb, and dumps it back into the tank.

I need a petrol feed diagram for a McCulloch Trimac 210

There should only be two pipes as the primer is located in the carb, the fuel hose from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the carb connection nearest the alloy pump cover held with a single screw, the other pipe fits to the other car connection and goes back to the tank, it just pushes into the tank to return the fuel. the fuel hoses are clear and you can watch the fuel movment, push the primer in and fuel returns to tank, let it out and fuel is drawn into the carb, if the hoses are connected correctly

Fuel lines in a 3200 series mcCulloch chainsaw. I have one line into tank. The other hole meets the existing fuell line. Is there only one hole in tank

Only one hole. The inside line has a weighted fuel filter on it that flops from side to side allowing the saw to pick up fuel whatever position you have the saw in. The other out line goes directly to your carburetor where a small suction fuel pump is built in. That fuel filter sometimes gets gunked up by left in fuel over the winter and has to be pulled out and cleaned. Just about all chain saws and for that matter two cycle garden tools have the same structure.

I need to replace fuel lines and rebuild carb on

Try this for the manual: http://lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/search.html?q=+mcculloch+corporation+mcculloch+corporation&s=gg314159

If that doesn't help:

Fuel Line Instillation: The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes fromthe carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in thisline so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

Theotherfuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank,(about an inch). Make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. Theplastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. Thiskeeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at anangle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut themoff square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

Carburetor Rebuild: Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:
You willneed to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make surethe small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylightthrough it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:

Just let me know.

I need info on a Poulan Pro 445 fuel line routing

I'm so confused. This is reported as a Poulan and McCulloch pole saw, which one? Is it a pole saw? That is the only 445 Poulan I can find. It is reported as an electric but has a fuel routing problem.

If it is a Poulan Pro gas pole saw it is here: PP445 Gas Pole Pruner
The fuel system routing is terrible, but it is all there is.
Fuel Routing follows:
Tank to carburetor (hose in tank with filter on free end)
Carburetor to primer (primer draws fuel from the tank through the carb)
Primer to fuel tank (returns any excess fuel to tank when pushed) HTH
