Its a small circle and it looks like it has two small stems comingout of it. There shoul be a slot so go can put a flat head screw driver in there to twist it out. The dipstick is connected to it. If you are standing at the back of the mower, looking at it, it should be on the left in the rear of the motor. I would change the spark plug after checking the oil. most people dont. Take out the spark plug and bring to any auto store, they will give you a replacement. Run only premium gas in it, cost more but runs way better. Put fuel stabilizer in the gas tank i the off season so the gas doesnt go to waste.

I own a victa 35 classic lawnkeeper. I tried to start it for few days now but it is hard start. As I don't know much on small engine, can you tell me if I had to refill engine oil or replace engine oil...

Yes you need to change oil on lawnmowers at least once a year. I would check three things. Compression, spark and fuel to carb. You can purchase a compression tester and spark tester at any local auto parts store. Check these first, if compression and spark are good you know your problem is carburetor/fuel related. I hope this helps.

Clean the air filter (foam type) in warm soap water then apply some oil soaked in, it will smoke afterwards for a short time. Or possible minor adjustment too the mixture screw on the side of the carburetor spring loaded. Allan

Hi, i just swapped my elec flymo for a briggs and stratton 35 lawn mower, however when ever i start it it coughs and splutters and wont run for more then 30 secs and is also spitting out oil from exhaust....

if the motor has been on its side the oil has runs out thru the muffler and air filter. briggs are famous for doing that. let it sit overnight and remove the air cleaner and you see is fill of oil. next day take the spark plug and clean it and check the gap then put it back, take carburator cleaner and spray some inside the carburator, check the oil level and start.if it wont start then is time to clean carburator. the air filter if is wet in oil and is the dry type. get a new one.

Lawn mower has too much oil. how do I drain excess on Champion RL 534 TR

Remove the small plastic oil filler plug where you put the oil in, and turn the lawnmower onto it's side to drain any or all of the oil.

Oil in my Champion lawnmower is emulsified. How can I drain the oil tank?

You can add a solvent like Diesel Fuel to it (engine) and pull the starter cord or starter to move it around...it will begin to break up the mess possibly.. You can also add Gunk Car Engine Cleaner too, to the engine oil, not the fuel.....A regular mower only holds about 20-21 oz of oil so be forewarned...
This is an interesting situation...is it even worth demulsifying?

If your mower does not have "OHV", overhead valves. You can use a Champion j19lm spark plug.
If you discover you do have overhead valves; A Champion RC12YC, will work.
