Welcome to FixYa!
As a technical support myself, these are the precautionary measures I follow before I troubleshoot a problem.

  • Make sure you have a back-up disk of all the important files you have on your computer. Make sure you at least update your backup file once a day because you'll never know when your computer will encounter a problem.
If its the computer hardware or a part of it:
  • For extra safety, unplug it first.
  • If there is smell or a smoke, stop immediately what your doing, unplug the computer from the wall and let it cool. Make sure you do not have any hand jewelry to avoid electrocution.
  • Never service a non-serviceable. If there is a label that says something about this, take it seriously. You don't want to make it worse.
If its a software problem like internet connection, or etc...
  • Analyze the problem first.
  • Isolate the cause (is it the website?the internet connection?or the program itself) for this will make your troubleshooting easier and less likely to cause you time because you'll know on what you should be looking for.
Hope this helps for these tips have been working for me all this years. Thank you for using FixYa!

Check your junction box circuit breaker for issues. This should be on a 220 outlet. Find out if your model has an internal safety switch. If you trouble shoot all areas, then time to call a repair person.

Turning off in 2 minutes automatically

My guess is that the fans inside the computer have stopped working, thus leading to the overheating. AMD processors generally run "hot" (50 to 60 degrees Celsius) even with proper fans.

Take your computer to a qualified technician, for a cleaning, and proper trouble-shooting, and repair, before the overheating causes permanent damage.

MY LG60 picture is all wonky. The colours are psychedelic. I can see the figures but the colours are all distorted.

It souns like the T-CON board problem, verif that it has good 12vdc feeding it. Worst case the LCD panel, and possibly the main logic board. Yoiu can try cooling the T-CON board with electronic cooling spray for electronic trouble shooting (Radio Shack) to see if it will go away when it is cool.

It can be bad T-CON board, worst case the LCD panel. You can try cooling the T-CON board with electronic freeze spray for electronic trouble shooting to see if the problem goes away. T-CON is mounted under the metal sheield which you will have to remove to get access to it.

Gateway E-3200 no video signal

hi! there,
there are common factors why no video on your screen.,right one factor is ram,the other are video card, processor and monitor
you can't trouble shoot with out other computer available, tester cann't detected all this,it make easy to parts to parts.disconnect cd room, hardisk and floopy also disconnect your video card and memory card put video card and ram one by one (if youhave nultiple ran) to other computer ,be sure other computer is run good and observed, if no video take the previous video card and put back if there video, possible your video card is busted,or try to put other video card and ram to your pc be sure this are good,if ok select your own part that you think is busted since you said your ram is good, put back to your pc observed.....replace aby busted parts,
take all precaution avoid electric shock wear safety shoes.regards and have a nice day
