Question about Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop
It may be muted. click on the small speaker icon to the lower right in your systray and look for the mixer settings ... there is a small check box for the microphone that mutes it. make sure it's not checked

Tips for a great answer:

I'm pretty sure that's not the problem, but then again, I have no idea what you're talking about or how to get there.
Anyway, the microphone worked perfectly yesterday and before then on the PS3. Now it works on neither the PS3 or computer, so I'm guessing it's within the device.
Is there some common problem that can happen with microphones like this? Possibly related to a hard drop or something like that?
