How do I reset my Dell all-in-one printer to the English language mode?

Hi,
If you cannot read the language of the menus and you want to reset the printer to default settings try this:
Using a button combination (if you cannot read the current language) 1 Turn off the printer. Note: If you have set the Power Saver timeout in the Setup menu, then press and hold mad_nas_5.jpgthe for three seconds to turn off the printer. 2 From the printer control panel, press and hold mad_nas_6.jpg and mad_nas_7.jpg, and then press mad_nas_8.jpg to turn the printer on. 3 Release all three buttons. 4 When prompted to set the initial settings of your printer, make your selections using the printer control panel buttons. Initial Setup Complete appears on the display.

If this is not helping you try to find the user manual for your model at the manufacturer site.
Good luck!

Change the language on hp laserjet 4000 to english

For the LJ4000 to change the control panel language:

Turn off the printer.

On the front panel, hold down the SELECT key.

Turn the printer on, while continuing to hold the SELECT key.

When the Select Language message is displayed release the SELECT key.

Initializing will display on the control panel. After 5-7 seconds Language=English will display.

Press the VALUE key until the desired language is displayed.

Press the SELECT key and an asterisk will appear. The asterisk indicates that the printer has saved the new setting.

Press the GO key to display Ready in the language that was selected.

NOTE: If Select Language does not appear in the display, hold down the SELECT button until you hear the motors rotate, then release. Following printer initialization, the Language= menu will appear in the display.

  2. Press the number 5 on the front panel numeric keypad, and then press Enter to access the Language and Region settings.
  3. The available languages will appear in the display. Press the Right Arrow (>) button to scroll through the available languages. Enter the two-digit code for the desired language based on what is listed in the display (example - 11 for English, 12 for Spanish, and etc.).
  4. Confirm the selection by pressing the number 1 on the numeric keypad of the all-in-one. Press 2 to cancel the language and try again.

The front panel language does not set correctly There can be a problem if the front panel cover (bezel) is not installed correctly. If the language cannot be set or is still wrong, do the following:
  1. If the software has not been installed, install it.
  2. Remove the control panel bezel. This may require the use of a coin or small screwdriver to carefully pry up the cover from the back (near the display).
  3. Reinstall the front panel bezel as shown in Figure 1. Be sure the bezel is firmly seated and that all of the buttons can move freely. Figure 1: Installing the front panel bezel c00224430.jpg
  4. Set the front panel language following the steps above.
