Hi, I have a toyota corolla 2003 that's making a metallic sound in the driver's side rear when turning right in reverse


Check your brake pads and or brake rotors. They may be bad or your rim on is rubbing on the shock absorber. Also check the lug nut's on your rims they could be loose to where the tire is rubbing against the brake rotors or shock absorber.

Require assembly schematic for shimano dura ace shifter . left shifter lever failed, will not activate the front derailler, disassembled, found nothing broken, require advice regarding proper reassembly...


log onto Shimano.com, it is probably the limit screws (the two screws that limit travel) or you have a faulty ratchet in the lever, try the shimano website anyway they have great tutorial and manual support

Worn out rear brake pad only on 1 side...


sounds like the caliper is defective, replace rebuilt the brake caliper.

Shimano Dura Ace Brake lever chatter


A few suggestions:

Lube/replace your cables and housings. If your housings are getting rusty on the inside, it will prevent the tension in the spring of the calipers from returning the brake levers to "home" position. Also, dura-ace levers have an internal return spring that is prone to breaking or coming off its peg (this can't be repaired without disassembling the lever).

Make sure your calipers are clean and move freely, and have sufficient spring tension to return to "home" position.

Be careful not to get lubricant on the braking surfaces, obviously.

As an experiment, remove the wheel and pinch the calipers together with your hands. Then, check to see how loose the brake lever is.
