Try running a cleaning disc through it. I'm sure that will fix the problem.

Tell me the Brand name, ande Model No., and if you can download a photo of it, put that on also. And tell me exactly what it is...eg a car stereo, or a home stereo and then I'll see if I can suggest a web site for you. And please don't forget to rank this answer.

There's one more easy thing you can try...check your fuses...your fuse for the radio will be OK, because the radio still works. See if there is another fuse for the CD Player. It might even be under the dash. What could have happened also, is a wire may have come loose, the soldering on the circuit board may be faulty, or the circuit board may have a faulty component. Try going to Toyota's website, http://www.toyota.com then go to vehicles, then Support, and see if you can learn anything there. If you have a Toyota Dealer handy, ask them what is wrong, and how much will it cost to repair. Then go to your local Wrecking Yard, and ask them how much for another one, and simply replace them. Hope that helps you a bit.

JBL 6 CD AM/FM Cassette Audio has CDs stuck inside and won't play or eject them. How can I get them out?

I've had this happen before with car stereo's uh i just normally unscrew the screws out of the top of the player to where you can get to the tray or slot for the cds and force the cd tray or the cd itself out but be careful and not break the cd this might work it usually does for me

there are only couple options. pull radio and send to shop for repair, purchase used radio from good junk yard. or call dealer and see if there is a warranty on it. even though its 6 yrs old they may help. what they do at the dealer is an exchange

I have a 1999 Lexus LX470 with a Nakamichi audio system with a 6 cd changer in the dash. The cd's will not eject and the screen says error. What can I do about this?

I feel your pain......and did extensive research on the internet.....Google "LX470, CD, err3" or "Nakamichi, CD, err3".

Take a look at this excellent explanation of how to dismantle and remove the head unit and retreive the jammed discs. I have used it and fished out three discs, but the CD Player still shows ERR3. An hour of work, so be prepared.

This is a site that provides repair services once you get the head unit out. http://www.carstereohelp.com/lexus.htm
"Six CD changer, Err message in display, will not play CD's, will not eject or accept CD's. Before repair, disconnect one of the car battery terminals for several minutes. This acts as a reset and may bring the changer back to working conditions. Otherwise, repair rate $385."

The Lexus dealer wants $750 to replace with a refurbished unit. Don't go down that route. Read these nightmare stories.

Don't buy a stray unit off of ebay, it is probably jammed or broken with the ERR3 meesage too!

If the home repair method doesn't work, then it will be better to just upgrade to a new head unit. I am buying a Jensen VM9215HD to get a multimedia system with all the trimmings and full iPod control for $460. Available on ebay or online stores. I'll install the unit myself, but you can get the unit and the job done at a local auto sound store for under $1000.

Good luck,

CD player ate a CD!!

I fixed the same issue by forcibly pulling individual trays to their open position.  I removed the casing to gain better access (tons of screws) but you can probably gain clear access to the shelfs without removing the casing if you have good needlenose plyers.  I found a stuck CD within one of shelfs, wedged WITHIN the moving components of the shelf.  It works perfectly now.
