Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I want to use HDMI to send video to a projector and use the optical digital output for audio (separate system). PS3 doesnt seem to want to allow that. This arrangement works fine with my DVR box. I have set the PS3 internal audio/HDMI settings to every conceivable combination. The optical shows that it is on but no signal to my preamp (9000ES).
The settings on your PS3 may be to high for your TV. try turning off your PS3 and turning it back on, when you turn it on hold the power button untill it beeps aprox 10 sec. this will reset the your PS3 back to original (minimum settings)
