Maybe you have too much on your Desktop, or in your Programs file. Everything you have there has to fully download, and this is what takes the long time. Transfer any games you have to a new folder, then do the same for any songs, videos or pictures. Whem you have done that, you can put a shortcut onto your Desktop that won't eat so many resources. Hope this helps.

When Windows PC is taking a lot of time to start-up, chances are that too many programs and Windows services are configured to launch automatically when you log on.

To fix this issue, you can either manually clear the start-up folder and registry entries or just download the excellent Autoruns 9.0 utility from Microsoft.

Autoruns shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and the entries are in the order in which Windows processes them.

You can select the services, executables and registry entries that may be responsible for the long start-up time and uncheck them to disable.

Let me know for any clarifications.

Improve performance by defragmenting your hard disk

Fragmentation makes your hard disk do extra work that can slow down your computer. Removable storage devices such as USB flash drives can also become fragmented. Disk Defragmenter rearranges fragmented data so your disks and drives can work more efficiently. Disk Defragmenter runs on a schedule, but you can also analyze and defragment your disks and drives manually. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. SIR MY pc take long - ?id=microsoft.windows.resources.shellexecutetopiciconClick to open Disk Defragmenter.

  2. Under Current status, select the disk you want to defragment.

  3. To determine if the disk needs to be defragmented or not, click Analyze disk. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Once Windows is finished analyzing the disk, you can check the percentage of fragmentation on the disk in the Last Run column. If the number is above 10%, you should defragment the disk.

  4. Click Defragment disk. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Disk Defragmenter might take from several minutes to a few hours to finish, depending on the size and degree of fragmentation of your hard disk. You can still use your computer during the defragmentation process.
Notes

  • If the disk is already in exclusive use by another program, or if the disk is formatted using a file system other than NTFS file system, FAT, or FAT32, it can't be defragmented.

  • Network locations can't be defragmented.

  • If a disk that you're expecting to see under Current status is not showing up there, it might be because it contains an error. You should try to repair the disk first, then return to Disk Defragmenter to try again. See Check your hard disk for errors for more information.

also "hibernate" the computer instead of "shut down"

Seems that your Windows has become corrupt.

Try to do a factory restore - just tap the F9 key slowly after you turn the power on. Follow the instructions. Be aware that you MAY lose your personal data.

If you do not shutdown your system properly means, that time only it will act like that that means file checking.

Steps 1.Kimdly diasble the all startup function (opent the run command and type MSCONFIG and automatiocally open one window and choose the STARTUP and diasable the all function)
2.kindly delete the all temporary file(open the run command and type %temp% and select the all file and then press SHIFT+DELETE,Sir.
3.And also delete the all the prefetch file
