Question about Cameras

I have Sony DSC-T90 camera. I think it's memory card is virus infected. When i attach my camera to computer to download pictures then only shortcuts of the folders are displayed. I can view the pictures in Camera but only shortcuts of folders are displayed. When I click on the shortcut a message "The item 'zivutx.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?" is displayed.... Please help me to recover my pictures and videos!!!

Have you tried removing the memory card from the camera and inserting it directly into the computer's card reader or any other card reader?

I have lost the cd for installing my sony camera dsc-t90. I tried find it on the internet but didn't make it,please help.

You don't need any special software.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

I'm unable to shoot movie on my sony camera dsc t90. when i press on record i get the following msg:system error c32:01 pse help

Hi,
Error C:32:01 indicates problem with memory stick in camera, format memory stick through format option in memory stick setting option in camera setting menu and check.
If problem still not solved then put new memory card/ stick in camera as this memory card would be defective.
Thanks.

My sony cybershot DSC-S950 effected with virus just i have retrive my photos at any cost.

use asoftech photo recovery program to scan your usb and then recover your files.
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

This software scans all storage space on usb and then join pieces together to recover photos. So even virus affected your file table, and put virus to boot sector, the program can still be used to recover your photos.

You need to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Is there a docking station that is compatable with the Sony Cybershot DSC-T90? I am unable to upload photos straight from the camera as the battery dies before completion.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

I suppose you could consider a card reader as a docking station, though it doesn't connect to the camera.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

How do i put my pictures into the computer?

The easiest way to get your pictures into the computer is to use a memory card reader (many computers have them built in). If you do not have a memory card reader built in, an inexpensive reader that reads MemoryStick (the type of memory card used by Sony) is available for around $20.

Once you have attached the reader and placed the MemoryStick in the reader, it will appear as another disc drive on your computer and you can copy the pictures by dragging the files to your current disc drive.

Hope that helps,
BAX

I lost user manual of my Sony Cybershot DSC-W150

I think you have set the "image storage" to internal. If you take a picture the memory reading should go down one shot-if it doesnt it is because your photos are on the internal memory instead of on auto or memory card. If you take out the card then try to view the pictures hopefully you will now see them. Eventually if this is the problem you will get a notice telling you that "internal memory is now full£.
