Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

I have the Wharfedale ICS182 Bluetooth In-Car CD Radio but I have lost the manual. I remember reading that you could program up to 10 telephone numbers into the stereo, which can be used to dial through bluetooth. Is anyone able to tell me how to do it?

The other solution is so your stereo holds it's memory when you turn off the engine...you want to know how to store numbers into the unit...

SOURCE: 3 problems with my wharfedale

Swap the battery and accessory lead positions in the ISO header plug. This is easily done by pressing the pins out from the plug side using a fine bladed screwdriver.

_MANY_ cars have these 2 wired the "wrong" way in their radio socket. It's far easier to move the radio's wires than the cars.

Once you've done this your bluetooth will probably sort itself out too.

I have just bought a Wharfedale ICS182 in-car radio but it doesn't seem to work. The red light that indicates power works but nothing is happening. Please help.

Take the control panel off.

Turn ignition off.

The alarm led should flash slowly.

Turn ignition on

The alam led should flash quickly.

If it stops flashing, take the radio out and get it repaired/replaced under warranty.

It's broken. I have a couple on my bench with this fault and they're not worth fixing when you can pick up replacements on Ebay for 30 quid.

NOTE: This is a really common failure mode. You're just unlucky it happened outside the warranty.

There's no instructions in the Wharfedale manual on how to do this. Why not put the SD card into a computer and erase the songs you don't want?
