I have a motorola defy which I can't hear the other person on the other end of the line unless I place the unit on speaker phone. Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted or is the unit faulty requiring replacement. Thanks ****

It seems that some early batches of this phone are more prone to present this issue. It's a hardware problem. Some posts around the internet state that it might be caused by usage of the wired headset. Motorola is aware of this problem, and they seem to be either fixing faulty phones or replacing them by new ones. So, you must send yours to be repaired, under warranty. Contact either the store or seller you bought your phone from, or Motorola, directly, for further details

Anyway, a possible workaround for this issue is to use a bluetooth headset for phone calls.

Really hope you are able to have your phone fully funcioning pretty soon. This phone is pretty amazing!

Regards, Carlos

How do i unlock my phone motorola defy

Which COUNTRY,Network it locked now?
there are many ways to Unlock the Phone You can use Unlock Code to unlock it,Get the Unlock code at
Unlocking4u.com and Unlock it following the instructions below:

Motorola DEFY Unlocking Instructions Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Motorola DEFY mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Motorola DEFY mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Motorola DEFY with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card,
2 - Phone will display "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code.

NOT ACCEPTED: We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Motorola DEFY is locked to.

WARNING: If one of theses messages appear :

- "Contact Service Provider"
- "Tampert Alter"
- "Wait before enter special Code"
- "Contact Service'

It's because you or somebody already entered too many wrong codes, you just have to leave the Motorola DEFY ON with the errors message and after 40 minutes to 2 hours the message "Enter Code Special" will appear again!

When making & receiving a caal I am unable to hear anything unless I swith to speaker. Please can you assist

that indicates a faulty earpiece. it is most probably a hardware issue and will require opening up unit and having that ear piece checked or replaced.

Why cant I hear the person on thep Phone incoming calls

First of all make sure the volume is high. Try talking in speakerphone mode. If you can hear in speaker phone mode, then your ear piece might be not working.

Hi Motorola defy and the ring tone doesnt make a sound when someone calls me and no its not on silent and its turned up |Thanks

Try going into call settings, then caller ID readout.

If setting is on Caller ID repeat then you won't hear ring.

Change to caller ID then ring.
