Question about Sony SDM-HS75/B 17" LCD Monitor

Open Question

The information display keeps popping up on my SDM-HS75 17" Sony monitor. When I press the menu it will go away but pop up again later. I tried holding the menu button for 10 seconds but it just pops up later; I also put the menu on "Lock", but it seems the information still pops up.

SOURCE: OSD Locked pop menu

Hi,

You must reset the on screen display in the menu. Hold down the Menu button for at least 60 seconds. A menu list will appear on your monitor screen. Using the adjust button, press the arrows to enter the menu. Scroll down to the Reset section.
On the right side of your screen, you will see an alternating Yes/No choice. When the Yes message flashes, press the Ok button. The menu should be reset and the flashing OSD control message should disappear.
I hope it helps.

SOURCE: Pop up menu won't go away.

If you can do the factory reset in the pop up menu, try it. You might have to try with another power supply, cord, or computer and check where the problem is.

SOURCE: how do i reset my SDM-HS75P monitor information

Press once the Input button. The menu appears. Press the Input button again and hold it. Now this is reduced to the problem of blocking the Input button (holding it with something). (Not very technical but then again neither is the restart when the computer blocks :D) Cheers
