I have a homelite that is 25 years old and even though it is not used alot I use it at least 6 times a yearnand other then general maintainence it has neede no major problems.I have always ran 40-1 in mine. Howevever if you are having good results with 50-1 I don't think I would worry about it.I have always thought that if it isn't broke don't fix it. Thank you.

Hi, was just wondering what the fuel ratio is for the Kawasaki Homelite HK-18-B model TD 18? Thankyou

I have had many 2 stroke engines in my day, and all with different ratios... Homelight always uses a 50-1 ratio.

What is the proper pre-mix ratio for my Homelite ht180v blower?

Most all of the 2 stroke Homelite products use a 50:1 fuel mix. That is 2.6 ounces of oil (use synthetic) to 1 gallon of gas. Going to an even 3 oz. won't hurt. It will actually help if your machine tends to run and has been tuned on the "lean" side.

Homelite 25cc 2cycle trimmer.built in March of 1999. what is the proper oil to gas ratio?

If you use a synthetic 2-stroke oil, you can easily get by running a 40:1 ratio mix...that is 3.2oz oil/gallon of gas. A richer oil mix won't hurt either (say 20:1 (2X the oil of 40:1). I recommend synthetic always be used alongwith Stabil fuel treatment because after about 30 days, gas loses its volatility and begins to breakdown without it...causing fuel problems.

Do I mix the gas with 2 cycle oil for the homelite mighty lie 26vt gas grass trimmer and what is ratio I need?

Your MightyLite trimmer requires a 50:1 fuel mix. Use a high quality 2 cycle oil that is made for lawn equipment. Do not use outboard boat oil...it will cause your trimmer to run too hot. If you use the mix that has fuel stabilizer in it, then the bottle will be 3.2 ounces. Use one 3.2 ounce per gallon of gasoline.
Good luck!

Homelite gas trimmer ut20602 from 1998 need oil mix ratio...is it 40:1 or 50:1

Use the 50:1 ratio oil mix.the oil bottle will tell you how much oil that you will need to mix with how much gas you have,40:1 will make the trimmer smoke too much and it will foul plugs prematurely but won't hurt the machine.

I have a homelite f2020 series petrol trimmer i would like to know the petrol and oil ratio mixture please

I use 50:1 with Sthil 2-stroke oil in ALL my 2-stroke equipment. This ratio does not smoke at all, and does not foul plugs.

Never had a problem yet. At this mix ratio, you can also use it in 4-stroke engines, which means you only need 1 fuel can on site. Also eliminates the possibility of using the wrong can to fill the trimmer.

Fuel mixture ratio?

Homelite has a lousy website for technical info but most small 2 cycle engines burn a mix of 50:1

What type of fuel mixture do I use for 20760 Homelite gas trimmer?

Most likely not the answer you are looking for but here is a shot:

Pick up a bottle of the Echo brand 2-cycle oil. It will say "Extended Life" on the labeling. This is meant to run in Echo products, but it is a very FINE and well engineered oil. Mix it according to label directions for 50:1 ratios. (2.6 Oz. to 1 Gal. Gasoline)

When mixed at this ratio it provides MORE than adequate engine protection for ALL 2-Cycle engines, including those that run in 40, and 30:1 ratios.

I mix one 2-cycle tank to label instructions on the Echo oil for 50:1. It handily runs in my Echo chainsaws, non-echo trimmer, Poulan Pro leaf blower, etc. They all run different ratios, but THRIVE on the Echo mix without as much oily residue and smoke to boot!

CAUTION: I do not know of ANY OTHER MAKE of 2-cycle oil that CAN DO THIS *SAFELY*.

Remember:

Always mix your 2-cycle fuel starting with *fresh* gas.

Mix only that which you can use in 30 days.

Use 89 Octane fuel to make your mix in small piston 2-cycle engines.

Clean and re-oil intake filters @ every 10 hrs. operation time. Check and re-gap your plug when you service your filter!

DRAIN unused fuel from tank back into gas mix container. Restart and let engine idle to run any remaining fuel out of engine and carb. Storing fuel in ANY 2-cycle longer than two weeks is going to gum them up and nothing short of a carb rebuild will get them sputtering back to life again!

Homelite zip start 2cycle trimmer.

I had this same problem, would run a couple of seconds, stop, and you couldn't start it again.
Had good gas/oil mix 50:1 and 25cc Homelite. Had replaced the fuel filter, gas, spark plug, and took carb apart and cleaned with carb cleaner and primer bulb worked fine. None of that fixed it. What did? Take the muffler off and see if it will start and run with the muffler off. If it does, chances are the muffler is clogged. Also check the exhaust ports and clean them out if plugged with black oil carbon residue.
My muffler was clogged up, took it off, cleaned out the exhaust ports, there was some oil that was in the muffler(oil that didn't burn during combustion). It now starts and runs like a champ on first or second pull.
