Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
Toshiba Satellites are prone to overheating, I know mine does, I have read here and on many other forums about complaints of over heating.
Try blowing into the exhaust ports on the back or even picking at any fluff you can see in there. I stripped mine down and cleaned out a a load of fluff when I was having over heating problems.
I now stand the rear two feet on an off cut off melamine work top about and inch and a half wide stretching the full width of the laptop, this allows more air to get to the underside fans, which draw the hot air inside the laptop and blow it out, this hoy air warms up ther surface the laptop is sitting on adding to the problem.
Mine is one of the large P35 17" models so I don't really take it anywhere it's more of a desktop replacement, carrying a piece of wood around with you is not a great idea. If you decide to get one of the laptop cooler stands make sure you know which way your fans are blowing and which way the fans of the cooler stand fans are blowing.
If you feel confident enough to take it apart to clean it this site can help you.
