P8 error is abnormal pipe temperature indoor. If you are running it on heating P8 error will appear because the disc pressure is too high. It could be overcharged.

SOURCE: i have 2 Mitsubishi electric "Mr Slim" type

Hi,

Have your system checked by a professional.
From what you are describing here it seems as thoug you have a slight leak in the system somewhere and therefore the system is not cooling or heating properly.

Have them check the system... verify the low charge, fine the leak and repair it.
Vacuum and recharge the system...

Then check the operation before you let them out of your sight.

...It can be tough to get some contrators back if you let them go before you check it...espec. if you pay them...:-)

There one more strainer in the Liquid distribution in the evaporator you will need to desouder the distributor and you will see the strainer just before the capillary. To get him out just heat the distributor with your torch and with a screw extract it out. Sorry for my poor English I normally speak French. I work on that trouble today but that gave me no results I still have 0 psi in the suction. Maybe I put sylfos too much and close the distributor I will see it tomorow good luck

You changed the compressor?? Why ??? These models do not normally have problems with this. I am conversant with most of the LS series and these have capacitor start compressors, which fail all the time. Generally all models have either a 45 /6 uf or a 50 /6 uf capacitor. If this fails, the compressor wont start, thus a no heat, no cool problem. If you have changed the compressor and made sure it is actually running, what is the operating pressure?? Suction side should be around 0 to -5 degrees c. Perhaps there isnt any gas in the system??
I assume by doing such a repair you are licensed to do so and have all the proper equipment to recharge the system ???

Compressor starts then stops after maybe 3 mins

Any error codes? If not there may be a mechanical fault with the compressor/inverter. The unit is possibly short on refrigerant, so the compressor is not getting enough suction cooling from return gas, so may be clicking off on its internal over temp klixon.

all the best
