Sony DSC W80. Gives me blurr in most photos even when there is a small movement by the person. Best example is my 4 yr old daughter's top eyelid gives a minute and at the same time an easily visible blurr. I note that the camera started giving the blurr in most photos one year after the purchase. Please help.

It's the down button on the cursor pad, marked with a one-handed clock. Press it repeatedly to cycle through the various self-timer modes. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button as normal.
This is how the pros who use several Nikons, for example, do this. They create a folder on the desktop for each camera (i.e. camera 1, camera 2, etc.) Then, using a card reader, they drag and drop the pics from a camera into the appropriate folder.
I have had files become corrupted for no reason, I don't think they can be recovered. Sorry to hear of your bad luck. I have and older 512 MB card, maybe a newer one can help ypu avoid future issues.
there is problem with flash unit.you have to replaced flash unit.if you know that how replaced then buy from your near service center and replaced by opening your camera.if do not know then best to replaced by sony service center.
Not that it helps at all, but I have the same problem with my sony DSC 80 but its because I dropped it in a river. It works just fine, other than the fact that it takes black pictures now.
Whenever you switch on the camera the lense comes out to a certain places, stops and the camera is initialized to take the picture. In some cases when there is a friction in the movement of the lense, it does not comes out fully up to the proper position. so the camera mechanism draws it back and again pushes it out. this happens 3-4 times and if still the lense does not reaches its position it displays "turn the power off and on again" and the problem continues.
sounds like someone has changed the shutter speed. Look in owners manual on how to change back to default. might also look at the picture type settings but setting the camera for action shots u will get better images if there is movement in the image.
