Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

Open Question

We own a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Recorder Model no. DMR-BW880. On Monday we had some bad weather which interferred with our boradcast. Since then we have had intermittant problems with the picture. When checking the signal it says it is in the red to yellow strength. If we plug the anttena directly into the TV there is a clear picture. If we watch a pre recorded programme then go back to watch live tv a still picture from a previously recordered programme shows with some interferrence at the top of the screen where you can see a frozen picture from the channel you are trying to watch. I have tried re tuning/resetting/easy setting the channels, and switching off at the wall etc with no luck.We are in NZ and view through myfreeview/HD. I hope you can help us. Thanks

Insert a lens cleaning disc into it and let it play. If this do not help you, the optical pickup unit to your playder is faulty, and should be replaced.

This would suggest the disc is defective, especially when all others work. I would return the other.

I have a Panasonic DMR-BW880 in New Zealand, expecting (for the huge amount that it cost) it would play DVDs from all regions. But it won't. Can you tell me an unlock code and how to use it please?

Hi.

This player region hack is done programming a service remote, then using the programmed remote on the unit to unlock the region. There is no way to unlock this unit using buttons on the original remote, or on the unit.

You can purchase a programmed remote kit using the link below:

Region remote kit DMR BW880.

Regards.

Ginko.

For the unit to be confirmed if its o.k or not You have to take disc which is not very knew and slight scratches ,offcourse which is playing in your other dvd player.Play it on dmr-es 10 see if it plays normally,if it does than its lens is o.k.Other thing you can try is insert blanck disc and try formatting it,if it does than it s o.k.Try R+,R- AND RW+,RW-.iF This disc can be formatted on dmr es10 than the unit you can decide to purchase
