bI can help you but I need to know your Model number. The model number should be on the data plate inside the door on the left side of the cabinet face.

I am pretty sure you have either a stuck thermostat or a problem with the blower / fan. With a model number I can guide you to the parts locations.

Just replaced high imit thermal fuse. The dryer belt squeks after 30 minutes on high manual mode. It seems the dryer is running much hotter than usual maybe causing the belt to squek. Any idea???

You may possibly have a bad temp control stuck on that caused the hi limit to open in the first place. That may be why you have a hotter than normal dryer. Temp controls are usually near the hi limit. A round disk with either 2 or sometime 4 wires hooked to it. Also check for a possible block vent keeping the hot air from venting outside.

3-5 ACCESS TO THE BLOWER WHEEL OR THERMOSTATS

To get to the blower wheel, remove the back of the dryer.

The blower wheel is under the bottom of the lint screen duct to your left, as you look at the back of the dryer.

The operating thermostats are at the blower wheel outlet.

In electric models, the hi-temperature cutout thermostat is mounted to the heat riser.

3-6 TEMPERATURE CONTROLS AND HI-TEMP SAFETIES

These clothes dryer machines use operating thermostats to control the temperature inside the drum, and hi-limit thermostats to prevent overheating of the dryer drum.. Many machines also have extra temperature controls, such as bias thermostats and heaters, hi-temperature cutoffs, and thermal fuses.

Bias thermostats are just like regular operating thermostats, except that they are mounted inside a bias heater. When the bias heater is energized, it generates a small amount of heat, which causes the operating thermostat to open sooner, keeping the dryer drum cooler inside. Thus a bias heater allows a single operating thermostat to act like both a hi-temp and a lo-temp operating thermostat.

A thermal fuse is found on the blower outlet, right next to the operating thermostat(s.) This fuse will blow when too high a temperature is sensed at the outlet; usually when one of the operating thermostats has failed. If it blows, the motor may not start, or you may get no heat (no voltage to the burner.)

A thermal cut-off is mounted on the clothes dryer heater box. It is a back-up for the hi-limit thermostat. Whenever you replace it, you should replace the hi-limit thermostat, too. A high-temperature condition causes it to open, an overheated grounded heat element may also cause it to open.

Temperature knobs won't change temperature Chevy Tahoe

You likely have a HVAC control head failure. The rear heater problem is likely a door actuator, the rear wiper is likely a open wire in the door jamb in the top. The gauges are likely a cluster failure.

GEW9878PW! electric dryer, evidently it isn't going into cool down mode

On the late models with electronic controls you either have a bad control OR a bad thermistor. The thermister mounts on the blower housing and the control measure the resistance drop on it as them clothes get dryer. That along with a pair of sensors that detect moisture inside the drum. As the clothes get dryer the less moisture is sensed until the control advances over to cooldown and finally off. So if the thermister is not working correct the temp would be off. The control is way more money than the thermister. I would clean it up first and make sure no air restrictions are causing overheating.

I have a white Rodgers ac thermostat and the temperature in my apartment stays on 88 no matter how low I set the temp. If I turn it off, of course it gets even hotter. This started happening when I pressed...

I'm not quite sure I understand what you have done but, make sure your compresor(outside is running and, that you don't have the thermostat set to "fan". You want the display to show "cool" and then adjust your temp. It sounds like you have the system set to fan and not cool. Provide me with a model number and I will see about getting you a manual.
