Question about Pioneer Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I have a Pioneer cmx-3000 dual cd player. When I put a CD into the drive it makes a "clicky" noise and doesn't read the disk, bringing up the error E-8303. The disks are clean and new. I have taken the cover off the back and found where the laser is meant to be moving back and fourth, one of the cogs is slipping not allowing the laser to move. What can I do?

When the CD player loads properly and still reads as no disk this indicates that the player lens (Optical device which reads the disk information) Is either dirty or bad. The only option you have is to get a disk lens cleaner and run it on the system. Once you run it, it is supposed to work if the lens is not spoilt. Otherwise you will just have to replace the lens by taking it to a repairer.

I have a Pioneer LCV-300 Laser Karaoke player; but without the "receiver" or "commander" unit. Is this unit necessary for the disc changer portion to operate or power on?

I may have a CD-V300 commander Auto changer if you can supply me with an owners manual for a LC-V300 laser changer. I also have an auto changer CD-V2000 if you can use it. If you can please contact me. Thanks.

RCA am-fm steroe radio / dual cassette recorder & compact disc player model rp-9518A. when I try to play a disk it stops and then restarts again at all 5 stations need to know what may be the cause...

I assume that the problem occurs on the cd player. If this problem occurs only at this cd it's a disk problem. If it occurs on various disks try using a cd cleaner set, a wet one is better. Follow the instructions on the set. The main idea is to put one drip of the included liquid at the set (usually isopropyl alcohol) at a specific place (like small brush) on the disk surface and play this disk. This way the "brush" will clean up the laser lens and after that the cd player will be able to read the disks. BE CAREFULL not to put too much liquid on the "brush". In case you can, use a Q-tip with isopropyl alcohol to clean up the cd lens manually. In case this doesn’t solve your problem, the cd player needs laser lens replacement by a technician.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

CD player won't work

Firstly is it burnt or factory cd? Most factory cd players won't play a burnt disk.
If you have a store-made cd and it is not reading that, then the lens inside the player is dirty and needs to be blown out with a can of "airduster"

Peugeot 406 cd player works when ignition is on but when engine is started cd player wont work. Radio is fine.

Just bought 2001 peugeot 406.The radio worked perfect but CD player not reading disk or operating. That was until I realised that the CD for driving safety will not allow you to put CD into it while driving or engine running.Switched off engine then switched it to 1st batt light position & CD worked perfectly. But when I then switched key off & then started it was back to not operating.I then realised that the CD player for safety will not operate when engine is running unless you let the CD start operating first pre engine fire then wait a little more time before starting .Now it should work properly though it will not allow even the passenger to change a disk while being driven. On disk change you have to go through the same start proceedure.Hope this will get your CD working.Sherlock ??

Panasonic SA-PM19 - insert CD and all the machine does is make "clicking" noises then stops and displays NO DISK.

Hi me2you

Your machine is not reading the disc. This can be caused for several reasons. The cd players lens may have a film of dust preventing it from reading. Try a lens cleaner CD. This is about the only thing you can do without getting into the internals of the unit. If you are electronically savvy, I can talk you through some more diagnostics, but generally this will mean replacing parts to fix the unit. If the Lens cleaner does not fix the problem, you may need to take the unit to a Panasonic repair guy for a quote. .
