Bypass the switch to rule out a bad switch. Next would be to check your coil and other ignition parts for problems.

My dewalt 3800 presher washer gas, is not getting any spark. 1) new spark plug 2) new spark plug wire I still do not get any spark. What could it be?

spark plug wire? do you mean coil? if you have no spark. i would check the plug first. then the coil assuming the on of switch is good. unplug the coil kill wire and try it. if it starts then you have a switch or wiring problem. if it don't start it is likely the coil is bad.

unplug the switch to make sure it isnt just stuck in off position *(internally stuck while the switch will still move) If it starts you can unstick the switch with some WD and a couple back and forths with the key.

If you still have no spark you are gonna need a new coil.

TVS scooty pep plus not starting, changed with new new battery & new spark plug - no spark coming (I have tested the spark plug connected outside touching scooty metal body & start-kicking)

Possibly a bad ignition coil. Check the connections at the ignition coil,make sure they are clean and tight, If so,..then most likely either A: the ignition coil is bad,or B: the pickup on the stator rotor is bad or the rotor could be rusted on the raised portion where the pickup get its signal.

I am not getting any spark at the Spark Plug. I sanded all the magnetic parts on and in the flywheel. I have a new battery and it's fully charged. I checked the ignition switch with Electracal...

if the spark plugs are good then you will need a new magneto/coil. I am assuming all the safety switches are good, as this would also cause the mower not to start/spark. Hope this helped Tim

Ive ford ikon 1.8d car. The engine fan starts as soon as i switch on the battery and runs till i switch off the battery. also there are sparks near the switch in the hood when i start the engine.

you need a new fan switch for the engine fan.
with the engine off and the battery cables disconnected from the battery - replace the switch.
if the ( "sparks near the switch") is the fan switch check the wires when you replace the switch.
if these ("sparks near the switch ") are another switch check those wires for frays and tighten or repair.

Scotts 2554 mower wont start added new battery, cleaned carb and needle seat. new pto switch but still pops fuse when u pull the pto switch, put new swi=tch in and now wont even turn over at all

Does the engine turn over?. The pto switch you mentioned is this the POWER TAKE OFF switch? In other words starts the deck? If so, it must be off when starting the mower. Any internal combustion motor needs fuel and spark. If it cranks over check for a spark. If no spark determine if it has points or breakerless ignition. Also check magneto coil. If you have spark then, be sure fuel is getting to the carb. With today's gasoline, you can't let it sit in the tank long without adding an additive. If the PTO switch you described, is blowing a fuse, then it cold be a bad coil on the clutch. You can disconnect this coil to see if it stops blowing the fuse. you didn't mention if it is a Kohler or BS engine. Try this link:

Saw was running great ,then just stopped and would not start again

Always keep in mind that you need 4 things to make combustion happen: Fuel, Spark, Oxygen (Air), and compression. One or more of these is missing and we need to figure out who is missing the party.
Let’s start with the basics:
Does it have gas? (Fuel)
Is the kill switch on? (Spark)
When you pull the cord slow does it give intermittent firm resistance? (Compression)
Is the air filter clean (Air)
Now you need to look at a few details:
Pull the spark plug out and checked for spark. This requires you to hook the spark plug up and let the plug lean up against the metal part of the head. Pull the cord, should be easy (no compression) and check for spark. Don’t hold plug with fingers as you may get a jolt. If no spark, try a new plug, still no spark check the switch and wiggle it around. Even if you have spark I like to install a new spark plug for this next test. With new plug in, pull at least 10 times, pull the plug and see if it looks wet. If it is wet, it is getting fuel.

Thanks for your feedback. When you say "It also smells madly fuel when I start the bike." does the bike start?
I'm going to assume not.
I don't know much about Fuel Injection but there is three things motors need to run - compression, fuel and spark. It sounds like you have compression and fuel, so we need to check for spark.
Chances are the plugs are simply fouled with gas. You can simply buy new plugs (esp if they're old) or check the existing ones for spark.
CHECK FOR SPARK The best way is to remove all of the sparkplugs, re-connect them to their wires, rest the threads against a good ground. Turn the motor over and look for a good fat white spark.
If no spark, make sure all 'safety' switches are in a start position (side stand up, neutral, kill switch on etc.)

Be sure to put a dab of neversieze on the sparkplug threads when re-installing.
