Question about Canon PowerShot A510 Digital Camera
I had various "funny" problems with my a510 and I tried formating my memory chip in the camera and the problems went away!!
I never connect the camera to the computer but use a memory chip reader to load pixs to the hard drive, then return the chip to the camera and delete and re-format the chip.

Possibly. How much is free? Id delete any files that are already copied.
Also, did it find any problems and did you check "automatically fix file system errors"?
By The Way/ It is possible that it's corrupted beyond help...
