    Hi Alokerdas,
I think the setup method in the Avanti manual is quite useless, and lightweight.
    Regards,
    Ken

Twisted forks

Hi, Anonymous turn the handlebars all the way to the fork lock in the opposite direction the crooked wheel is pointing then kick the front off the wheel moderately until the bars line up with the wheel, for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Handlebar

where the bars meet the gooseneck (the part that goes down into the frame ) there is a bolt, Tighten it. If it still does the same thing... you need a new gooseneck because it is probably stripped.

What is the shape of the handle bars on the Schwinn High Timber Girl's bike?

These are certainly not racing style bars; but the modern, hybrid riser handlebar.

They will not sweep back toward the rider as much as a beach cruiser handlebar; but could be adjusted rearward to come closer to the rider. They definitely allow for a more upright riding position than many other handlebars though.10_19_2012_7_26_19_pm.jpg

Just bought a diamondback edgewood lx hybrid. want to raise the handlebars but the top bolt won't loosen, even with the correct size allen wrench. I just can't get it to budge.

spray it with WD-40 or any other spray lubricant, leave it for a bit, wipe off the excess lubricant and tap it w/a mallet. you can use a hammer if you dont have a mallet but not to hard:) then try it again:)

Hi I also have an avanti fondue set and do not now what fuel to use in it

The burner needs fuel so go to a hardware store and get some.
Don't put the ceramic straight onto the flame, it will crack.
Use the stainless steel bowl for oil heating only.
The Ceramic bowl sits inside the stainless steel bowl.

I have a Schwinn Midmoor Hybrid bike. The problem is I think, with my suspension. When my bike is at a standstill and I turn the handlebars, there is a slight knocking when I turn it to the left. It steers...

You need to replace the headset bearings. Very simple job but you will need some grease.

Undo the brake lines from the levers and remove handle bars from the stem and set aside. Undo the top bolt on the stem, this will loosen it and pull it out of the headset.

Use a large jaw spanner to undo the headset locking top nut. Remove that and the washer, until you see the ball bearing race.

Remove and check for damage. If any balls are missing or are crushed/damaged, you need a new set. Clean the headset area of old grease and refit with plenty of thick grease.

Refit all of the parts and refit handle bars.

Vote for me if this helps you. Thanks! :)

Can't tighten the handlebar stem.

hi lynduck,

are you using a threadless steam or a threaded one?

like this one in the picture.

http://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/headset-threadless.jpg

if so, spacers should be on the right spot and the pinch botls should be tights. top cap should not be moveable and this will make sure your front end turns lightly. apply light axle grease to make it smooth.

voodoo
