Adding machine tape will not advance. I have reloaded the tape several times. Once I get the tape into the machine (I have to force it in as the tape advance doesn't pick it up) it will not advanc. I have checked to see if there is anything blocking the tape, but I don't see anything. It seems the tape advance is not working, can you help?

The local small town office supply store figure it out for me. I had the right width tape, but it was a cheaper brand (Sparco) and was to thicker/heavier so it was sticking when I was punching in numbers fast.

Two things it's either the motor that rolling the tape is not working or the gear that holding the tape holder is broken you need to open the mechanical system of your calculator.carefully re arrange the gears.because you force the tape to put in the tape advance might got dislocated from the gear.go ahead and open the cover and arrange the order of the gear.before you dis assemble the mechanical take a photo of it before you dismantle so that you wont forget the placement order of it when return the parts...good luck!

It sounds like your heater element is not working. If the washer doesn't reach the desired temperature it will not advance to the next level. Try to do a cold wash and see if it completes the cycle if it does you need to replace the heater element.

I am trying to use the usb adaptor with a compaq presario computer with windows XP, and a router that i got with AT&T. i remember it working once, but i cant remember how to set it up. everytime i...

Te first thing you should do is remove all power from the AT&T devices (modem, router, etc) for at least ten minutes. This will do several important things.
1. It will force your ISP (AT&T) to drop all connections to and from their router to the DSL modem.
2. It will force your ISP (AT&T) to re-establish the connection to the DSL modem.
3. It will force the DSL modem to clear all RAM and reload its default configuration when power is re-applied.
4. It will force the wireless router to clear all RAM and reload its configuration information when power is restored.
The 10 minutes is not arbitrary, some Motorola DSL modems supplied by AT&T have a specified 8 minute memory backup capability.

I haven't used my VM-E2 in several years. During that time it was in storage with a cassette time inside. I recently tried to use the camera and ''E'' kept flashing. I rejected the cassette and checked...

The manual says that when E is flashing to "Unload the videocassette once. Confirm that there is no problem with the tape (tape tension for example), then reload the videocassette and try to resume. I would suggest reloading a different tape. I have the same camera but am missing the RF adapter that plugs into the side. If you cannot get your camera to work, are you open to selling me the adpater?

Reloaded string empties and shreds continuously in seconds

It sounds like you may need to replace the head. It is designed to advance and stop, but your's isn't stopping. Try this: Clean the inside of the head and connection to the machine well. Put some graphite inside the spool and where it connects to the machine; be generous with the graphite. Put the head back on with some line properly wound onto the spoo (note arrows on back of spool). With the machine off tap the head on the ground enough to disperse the graphite thoroughly in the head. Now, push the head as though to advance the line, and pull on the line. If it advances a little and stops, it is working. Do this several times to be sure. If you can get it working like this, you're good to go. If not, replace the spool. Even with the new spool, occasionally put some graphite in it to keep the line advance smooth!

Best regards, --W/D--.....Please feel free to rate this solution. Thanx!

Will not display picture or eject tape.

most of no signal means dsr 11 or similar machines have dirty heads. When they get dirt sometimes, you can´t play a cassette and the machine turns off (with the cassette in).
I´ve tried several times to reload the cassette and I manage to make it work again.
with the cassette in and the machine off press at the same time power and fast forward.
When in fast forward press play and your head should be starting to be clean (takes 4 o 5 minutes
to get a clean picture). Normally the machine gives a code error like if it was a loading problem but
not nearly related

Flashing "2" on VCR front panel.

Hi Oshaman. I have dealt with many VCR's and would like to ask you a few questions before diagnostics. How exactly did you get the tape out of the machine ? There are several tape threading gears involved, and if you accidentally made one of them skip a few teeth while forcing the tape deck up the "position" switch will send erroneus signals to the tape threading position switch/ controller. Was the tape rolled around the capstan/pinch roller ? Did you have to force the tape loading tray up to extract the tape ? Feel free to email me. pemere@optonline.net. Happy Holidays.
