2 Answers

I installed new Hayward 6060 booster pump with 115 supplied voltage. When turning on the pump it hums. Is there something else needede to switch from 230 to 115 besides switching the arrowed connector? Also why does the arrowed connector not go on properly when trying to switch to 115?

What do you mean "...not go on properly..."? When moving from the 230 to the 115 both terminals inside the plastic selector device should then be on a spade connector on the motor terminal board. Is one of the posts bent? Without the proper connection of the 2 posts the unit will not run. I hope it is a simple as that.

If not your next step should be to contact the store it was purchased from or Hayward's chain of service centers to get it remedied. You can find a service center on Hayward's site here. Enter your zip code and further down the page select service from the list of choices.

Are there any other booster pumps that I can use to run my pool cleaner? I had a Polaris bp4-60 for 7 years, it finally failed. Replaced it with same model. Ran for few mins then shuts off then restarts....

I think Polaris should refund the purchase price on these pumps. I changed the breaker, the whip, and upgraded the outlet (using 110). The dealer exchanged it for me, but would not give me a refund, and I had the same issue with the second motor. I used a Hayward 6060 pump as a replacement. Everything works fine.

Where can I find a Wiring diagram for hayward super II PUMP AND BOOSTER PUMP to new t106 intermatic and existing t104 for the booster?

Not sure if you will find such a diagram...
New installation?
Do the pumps have their own breaker?
Is your Super II pump a 2 speed?
What is the Thermostat for? Do you have a heater that you are trying to connect, so that the pump will come on when there is a demand for heat? Not really sure what the T-stat is mentioned for here?
You still only need to have 2 timers if I'm not missing something?
The T-106 will be for the Super II pump (presuming it is a 2 speed version) It will turn hi speed, on & off. or switch between them rather. I think I see why you may be inferring about a 3rd timer? You don't want to have pump running on "Low" speed continually. If so, Then you will need a 3rd timer (T-104) to provide power as Line to the T-106. The other T-104 will be for the booster pump for your cleaner.
The power for the Super II pump from the breaker will go to the 1st T-104 as "Line". Then from the Load portion of that timer, you will wire into the Line portion of the T-106. Following the instructions from the diagram at this website address for a PDF document:
http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/Intermatic/Documentation/Time%20Switches/Mechanical%20Time%20Switches/24%20Hour/T100%20Series/T106R%20Instructions.ashx
you will complete the wiring to the Super II pump via the "Load" side of the T-106
The 2nd T-104 (pool sweep pump) will be wired: from the breaker to the "Line" portion of the timer. From the Load portion of the timer, you wire to the booster pump.

Good Luck

Pump will not turn on due to interlock

What do you mean by "interlock"? Is it hooked up through some sort of control system that is not allowing it to turn on?

1.5 hp Hayward Power Flo pump. It was working fine, unplugged to clear filter basket. When plugging back in it only makes a humming noise and does not pump. Took plate off back and it appears to be clean...

the start switch is dirty, needs to be cleaned, or the start capacitor is week or bad . carfully clean the switch first, use the sandpaper off a match book to clean the points

I have a Polaris PB4 booster pump, installed late July 2006, vacuum was running for an hour tonight but I noticed it wasn't moving across bottom of pool normally--wheel was skipping. I shut things down...

The click is the internal thermal overload. Since the pump wouldn't start it overloaded and opened the circuit. Either there is something jammed in the impelller locking the pump up or you have a motor problem. IF it a capacitor start motor, you could have a bad capacitor. Or if it has a starting switch it may not be operating. Start off and be sure the motor turns freely. If you replace capacitor be sure it is same voltage and MFD as the old.Check all wiring connections.

I have a proline pool pump model # SD-15-1N11CC and it worked fine until I back washed my pool and now it stopped working. It makes a humming noise and nothing else.

C. MOTOR HUMS, BUT DOES NOT START—
Check for:
1. Centrifugal switch stuck in open position.or if capacitator start could be bad capacitator. Possible loose connection.
2. Binding of motor shaft. (something stuck in impeller) Does motor turn free. IF not check for jamed impeller. If it she sp2605x7 you can view a manual here:

I purchased a new 3/4hp Emerson pool pump installed it and the only thing it will do is hum.

OUT THE BACK SIDE OF THE MOTOR IS A SLOT IN THE SHAFT FOR A SCREWDRIVER , SEE IF YOU CAN TURN THE MOTOR OVER(BREAKER OFF !) YOU MAY HAVE BOUND THE IMPELLER OR IT COULD BE SET FOR 230 VOLTS AND YOU ARE RUNNING IT ON 115VOLT.....
IT MAY HAVE A BAD START CAP OR THE SWITCH MIGHT NEED CLEANING. THESE EMERSON MOTORS CAN BE HARD TO WORK ON DO TO THE HUGE AMOUNT OF PLASTIC PARTS

Have hayward 2speed pump and cant get speeds to change ontime clo

If I am following your description correctly it sounds like the booster is tied to the wrong clock...You want the booster to run with the high speed which is 'the other' timer it sounds like.
