Question about LG Televison & Video
There is no need for picture.
This is an LCD TV not a plasma. Vertical lines mean either defective controller board, the T-Controller is defective or defective LCD display.
Most of the time the problem is the T-Con board. The T-Con board synchronizes the picture sent to display and cannot be tested test (even the tech does not test it).
The only fault not worth repairing is faulty display, and faulty LCD resulting in lines is not common.
The T-Con is $39. I would take the risk and replace the T-Con. Here the part: LG Philips 6871L-0821A T-Con Board.
The 32LC2DU has two different main board solutions, depending on the letter after U you may have a separate signal board with connectors (UD ending model) If you are a technician you can summarily test the boards below before replacing the T-Con. Testing is done following voltages on diagnostic points. Use the schematics in service manual. Here service manual: 32LC2DU Service:
Here main board. It may need testing in case the culprit is not T-Con:
UD ending model only:
LG 68719ST916A Signal Board
LG 39119M0080A Main Unit
Other 32LC2DU models:
